We Did It 🎉 2 Months ago we hit 1️⃣ Million $ Dollars in Sales 🥳. So today I want to testify and be transparent. 1st and foremost I want to honor and THANK GOD. Next I want to appreciate thank all of our faithful and loyal customers‼️ I want to encourage and inspire someone to never give up on your dream. If God tells you to do something DO IT. Last year when I was selling food out of my church and catering for huge corporations like Southwest Airlines and others. I’m thankful for some of the ones who help me in my birthing stage T. Marie Jones she was so vital in my beginning. She literally the reason that I call my sauce that I created Ray’s sauce she helped me with so many things. Thanks to my sister in love Gerlinda Camillia she was there helping as well. And my Grand Mother blood couldn’t make us any closer Diane this women got our back like frfr she has been they for us like hard. God showed me that I would be a household name 🤯. I begin to declare that I was going to make $1 million in a year. I begin to speak it. I begin to declare it. Well, last year, I decided to step out on faith and sign a huge lease. If we’re gonna be transparent, let’s be transparent. The lease is over $6k a month. People called me crazy and said it wouldn’t work. Now mind you the lease is 6K this does not include money for employees or bills. All I had faith in God and I knew I was going to make a Million dollars. I believe in tithing so last year in May I started tithing as if I was bringing in $1 million. I got the keys to my building in May. Listen when I started, I have no money. We went in that building and we started to remodel it. Before we could remodel it, my sister Mekka Weeden came and help me detail clean it. And my boy Isisah help clean and get a lot of things together in the kitchen. The person responsible for painting the entire restaurant and doing the tables in the restaurant is Polo Darve. Let me speed this up. It’s too much to write. You read it about it in my book one day. so it took us three months to get the Restuarant together go through all the inspections and advertise that we were opening. So we didn’t open it until August 11 of last year I had to hire employees and I had to purchase food for the grand opening. I ended up hiring 25 employees. Lord, how am I gonna pay these people? I went ahead and ordered food I purchased over $15,000 for the opening week. Crazy huh? I was telling people that the line would be wrapped around the building and that we would serve thousands of people. I was just talking by faith and walking by faith. Opening day the line was wrapped around the building 🤯. Listing on the opening weekend we were so busy. It was so chaotic, it was so semi unorganized that I legit was ready to quit. I even told the workers back that I don’t think I could do this. we had so many people so many complaints. I’ll wait times were two and three hours. It was what appears to be a disaster. But guess what I made up my mind that quitting was it an option, I prayed for this. I believed God for this and now I have to walk it out. Within the first two months, we lost half of employees for various reasons. I’ll disclose in the book. People literally talked about and came after me on social media about the restaurant. It be your own people they talked and said they would never come here and our food was this and our food was that 🤦🏾‍♂️. I’m so grateful for the consistent and the faithful and loyal customers. To be honest, everyone in my family or even my friends haven’t supported. And I want to tell somebody matter if your family your friends don’t support. If God has called you to it, he will send the people. Around the end November - January. Our sales drop drastically. But I kept on saying that we was gonna make $1 million. Well, in February, our sales took back off. I mean a new wave of people begin to come and we was back on track like busy. Long story short we We have catered for so many fortune 500 companies and met so many different people. So officially and may we made $1 million dollars. Yup We wasn’t even open a full year and we made it! And then in June, our sales literally tripled That was a major convention Church Of God In Christ International AIM Convention here and we’re so thankful for them. In addition to the convention my boy Mr.Chimetime came in, did a review on our food. His review he talked about a sewer issue that we were having. So many people begin to laugh and talk about they wouldn’t come here. We have received thousands of customers. Thank you sir! We’ve met so many different people from various states. I’m forever grateful and thankful for this man. There’s so much more that I can say, but I’m gonna wrap this up. Me and My Wife Diane Watson work 100+ hours a week to ensure that this restaurant is successful and on point. I love this girl with all of my heart. I wouldn’t be able to do what I do if it wasn’t for her. My children are certainly the reason why I do what I do. My daughter is my inspiration Watson is my best friend and she worked her tail off to make sure things ran smooth when we 1st open even stayed home to make sure we had everything together. I want to say that I current team that we have is second to none these people work their tails off. we are so understaffed right now that we are almost considering closing down another day so that everyone can be rested. So if you know, somebody need a job, tell him to come out and fill out. So many people would say $1 million people are going to think that you are rich. And the overhead to run, Restuarant is crazy work. It takes $70k a month to run this place I was complaining at first, but I thank God that we got the money to run it. I may not have $1 million in the bank personally, but I believe this next year we are about to exceed what we’ve already done and I will see the fruit of my labor. Don’t give up on your dream. Keep Guide first pay your tithes. Yes I am a pastor and I believe in God the only way, and the only reason that this is working is because of God. As I end this post, I want to say that I would not be able to do what I do in the restaurant if I didn’t have the support of the greatest church in the world. Listen y’all Faith Family Life Church is that deal when I first opened I forgot to tell him a few times I was gonna be late 🥴 but Karon, Samon & Juanita held it down for me. I thank God for them listen I’m called the Pastor and I will never allow what I do to cause me to abandon the thing that God has called me to. I’m grateful for the restaurant but I’m call to god’s people. OK, I’m done. Thank you so much. We made $1 million because of your support. I’m going to be doing some type of event to help others. Let me put this in the atmosphere expecting to do $3 to 4 million by the end of 2025. And I’m opening up one to two more locations in 2025. I’m speaking it out of my mouth I believe in God for and I’ll testify when it happens. Now don’t try calling and texting it inbox to me asking for money because I told you we made it, but I don’t have it in my pocket. Not yet anyways.
