Thank you Dr. Lalmalani for appointing me as the Chair of the Selection committee and entrusting with the most difficult task of selecting a New Village Manager for our Village of Oak brook.

For the last three months, my entire committee has spent numerous hours along with the recruiting firm to select the best Village Manager we could afford within our means.

We had a successful outreach effort yielding 35 resumes from 12 states, including 22 from Illinois.

Our committee is proud to announce that, we will complete the selection process in a week and will present the short list to our Village President, for his final appointment of the VM (Village Manager).

This appointment is a crucial one in the sense, the VM will play a crucial role in the strategic development of the Village of Oak Brook for the next 10 years.

September 11, 2021 marks the 20thAnniversary of tragic day where 2,996 Americans were killed in terrorist attacks. Our nation will never forget that day, and we will never forget the lives lost. The Oak Brook Police Department is honored to once again partner with the True Patriots Care Foundation to bring the Healing Field back to the Village of Oak Brook to honor those lives lost and pay tribute to this heart-breaking, historic day.

The Healing Field is a patriotic display of over 2900 United States flags flying in solemn formation. Every flag posted represents a life lost, and shares that victim’s personal story. This breathtaking display allows us the opportunity to honor these victims on a personal level and keep their memory alive. The Healing Field will be on display in Oak Brook from September 8, 2021 through September 12, 2021.

An event of this magnitude requires the help of many. The pre-event preparation, event construction, and event breakdown is a time consuming process, and we need your help. We are looking for volunteers of every age and every ability. Some areas where we need volunteers are:
