Rush Oak Park Hospital Cheers on COVID-19 Survivor
Gloria Diaz, a COVID-19 survivor, was discharged from Rush Oak Park Hospital today to the cheers of staff members after spending 15 days at the hospital. The Chicago resident said when she fell ill weeks ago, she told her husband, "If you are not taking me to Rush Oak Park Hospital, just leave me home and what will be will be." Diaz, a mother of three teenage boys, referred to her ROPH care team as her "angels."

When Angela Cooper asked a few people to create posters of encouragement for the Rush Oak Park Hospital staff as they battle the COVID-19 outbreak, the associate vice president of patient care services had no idea the response would result in more than 350 thank you messages. Employees get to view these posters when entering and exiting the hospital.
