Do you know any kindergarteners or 5th graders who wish they went to Glenview? It is very unusual for Glenview to have space for more students but this year several families who were assigned to Glenview did not show up and we have some space (only in kinder and 5th; we are full in all the other grades). Our budget is based on how many students we have and the district will reduce our budget if our enrollment does not increase by the 20th day of school. If you know anyone in those grades who would be interested, have them call or email the Student Welcome Center– school sites can’t assign students; that must happen centrally through enrollwise. When I met Keri & John in early February, they were already 2 years into their home search. 😱 They’d made a handful of offers in that time and the last one was a very tough loss that should have been a win (there’s a W I L D story there, but that’s for another time!). Finally ready to put the losses AND their former realtor behind them, they entrusted me with their hopes and dreams and still-mending hearts.

Keri & John loved their rental home and their popular NOBE neighborhood where they’d built a community and where their son had just started Kindergarten at a great school, but they were done with their landlord and wanted a home of their own. Unfortunately, they’d been taking a break during what turned out to be the bottom of the market, and jumped back in just as prices started climbing again - and of course, their red-hot neighborhood was leading the market recovery and they were now hopelessly priced out. 😭

And then, we found the one. The competition for this home was stiff but we navigated the negotiations as a team, with Keri even fielding my texts, calls, and DocuSign requests from a plane (!) as we gave it our all to land the deal.
