Tahiti has been on my bucket list and the direct flight from SFO made it easy. After a night in Tahiti we took a morning catamaran to Moorea. Lot’s to do on Moorea: Scuba diving with sharks, hikes through the dense tropical jungle, pearl shopping, kayaking and great snorkeling. We stepped out of our bungalows onto the beach - very cool! After 4 nights we flew to Bora Bora and settled into our over water bungalows with views of Mt. Otemanu. Amazingly beautiful! We toured the lagoon stopping to snorkel with reef sharks and sting rays, followed by a Polynesian bbq on an uninhabited motu. After a day at leisure that included massages in a studio where the floor was glass so you could watch turtles and fish swim by while getting worked on, we’re off to the main island for a 4x4 “safari” to visit some lookouts and cultural sites. It’s hard to imagine anything better than the IC Thalassos, but tomorrow I will tour the St. Regis and Four Seasons so I can compare and contrast for my friends and family that might want to go.
