“Peace of Mind” for the Times!

I painted this piece last month with the intent of leaving a Positive & Balance-themed work, amidst this busy Main Oakland intersection.

A Shift is in the air, that much is clear, no matter one’s background, origin or financial status. With too many close friends, couples & families, presently going through some Real-life challenges & Sticky Energy right now (not to mention the ongoing Wars abroad), it only felt natural to paint a Ganesh - on an empowering Tip! (In the end we Humans are all more Similar than Different.)

Hyped & Honored to have a few Graff pieces featured, along some crew mates work w/ a Legendary line up from all over the US, for this exhibition. Showcasing different eras and regions—from the streets to the stages, honoring Hip Hop as not just a genre, but a worldwide movement.

I had some fun with this one & in such an epic bayside cliff location & for an awesome human/client, who works in the hospice field & so creating a calming and flowing entrance to her work & creative space was important. Thank you Kit & Jeff for the opportunity & freedom & hospitality. Nice way to wrap up the end of a busy year.

“We Create"
is a recent mural created for Big Red Studios & Friends, and for these times we are living in. Painted on a historical West Oakland corner, on this unique building. It was Designed in the spirit of the neighborhood & the talented Local Bay Area crafty welders & fabricators at this shop location - from all walks of life - who are creating outside-the-box large-scale works, together. With homage to the old historical Oakland / Bay Bridge. Big Thx Katy & Rufus for the Opp & Freedom.

As human beings, we are creators by nature. What we create and choose to do with that gift & our time, is in our power!

A fun mashup of Science & Verde Valley, AZ-themed mural. I painted a couple weeks ago for The Clarkdale & Jerome Elementary School. ( Not far from where I grew up!)

Big Thx to my good friend & the school Science Teacher Jessie Kennon ( who spear headed it ) and the Principle for such a cool & multi-purposeful give-back opportunity, to help spice things up a bit for the next-gen of kids!

No shortage of adventures this past weekend, amongst the River, redwoods & Venue, with , and friends both New & Old! Mountain medicine is always a good reset for me & I had honestly forgotten, taking the last 2 (Rona years) off from live painting at big social festivals, concerts, etc. How much i missed it since my start in 2000.

Big thanks to NNMF, Matty, Tony, MFC & all the NNMF folks who worked while we played in the heat, to make this festival go Off! Also of course to all the people who came by the walls and said hello, hung out & showed support to all of us arty types.
