When I looked into Bay Area photographers for a fun and relatively informal photo session with my significant other, I found no shortage of options, but one website and portfolio truly stood out -- Nightingale Photography. I knew from the moment I saw her work that Christina was going to be the right choice, and she did not disappoint.

Tons of positives:
- she was easy to communicate and plan with, even when I wanted to switch one of my locations the week of the shoot
- she made us both feel comfortable in front of the camera, which is no small task
- she was flexible with my ideas, but also brought her own to the table
- photos were back even sooner than I'd expected, and were of the quality I'd seen on her website

But I think what I liked best was Christina herself. She was extremely pleasant to work with, and treated my casual event with the same professionalism and respect that she would a wedding. She had very positive presence and brought a really good energy and enthusiasm to the shoot. She was a lot of fun and brought out the best in my partner and me.

She said yes!!!! Piper and her dad, Aaron, popped the question to fabulous Mariana with joy and gusto! Piper wore her fanciest bandana to the proposal and made sure dad remembered champagne…and the ring. Ok, cute or what!?!?!😭😭😭😭🥹

Including siblings in a newborn photo session is incredibly heartwarming. There's something truly special about capturing the bond between older brothers and sisters and the newest addition to the family. I advise parents to talk to their older children about the photo session beforehand and encourage them to share any ideas they might have. This involvement fosters a sense of ownership, engagement, and pride in the older siblings. Congratulations to Pacific and Coral for being such wonderful siblings to Baby Rome!

Capturing all the feels from the start to the sweetest milestones! I had the honor of following Dana and Chris’s love story for over two years. From their elegant San Francisco engagement session, to the “I do’s” on their big day, then onto the exciting bump pics during their maternity shoot, and finally, the adorable squishiness of their newborn. Each image tells a story of love, growth, and new beginnings. It’s like being part of their big, beautiful family album, and I’m so grateful they chose me to be their photographer for these amazing moments!

What an adorable sight! Sophia welcomed the New Year in style, donning a bright red dress of her own choice. Make your maternity session a day to remember! I always encourage my couples to choose a location that inspires and speaks to them. As they look at their portraits years from now, they will remember how they felt that day: filled with anticipation for baby to arrive, anxious yet excited, unprepared but so ready to meet her.
