Hiring Pool Cleaners

Minimum job requirements are...

*A valid driver's license with clean record.
*Reliable transportation to and from office.
*Willing and able to work in all weather conditions.
*Able to lift 50lbs
*Must be self motivated
*Not squeamish. We come in contact with bugs and frogs and other critters.

*Must be available Monday- Friday. We start at 7am.

Experience is not necessary but you must be willing to learn.

Will be part time to start but has the potential to become full time for the right person.

Run your pool pumps tonight to help protect the equipment from freezing!

We will be closed for Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day!

If your pool falls on one of these days for service, the previous week we will make sure they have extra chemicals to hold through the week.

Hard Freeze Tonight

Just a friendly reminder, there is a hard freeze warning tonight. Temperatures could reach as low as 22 degrees with a wind chill of 19 degrees. If you have a "smart" pump, no need to worry your pump will come on automatically to protect itself. If you do not have one, you will need to go out this evening and turn your pool pump back on so that it will run throughout the night and morning.

Why Salt?

As you may have heard, there has been scarcity of chlorine products and large percentage increase in the cost for chlorine products. In just the US, we have experience our third chlorine plant fire, the latest being a few days ago.

Over the last year, the price increases have ranged from 20% all the way up to 89%. It is unknown what this last fire will bring to the industry, but I want my customers to be in the best possible position when the summer arrives.

An alternative to a fully chlorinated pool could be a salt water pool system.

Salt water pools are disinfected with chlorine; however, they use a salt chlorine generator to make chlorine rather than having to purchase it to add to the pool.

A salt chlorine generator forces salt water over an electrically charged cell, a process called electrolysis, which creates chlorine.

Benefits of a Salt Water Pool

- Many people enjoy this natural sanitization method of creating chlorine because it contains far less concentration of chlorine. A chlorine generator will produce a steady stream of the right amount of chlorine while the pump is running.

- Swimming in a salt water pool reduces skin irritations and dryness. Many customers state that swimming in a salt water pool feels silky soft. Salt water naturally acts a moisturizer and exfoliator to increase moisture in the skin and can help improve some skin conditions.

As we amp up for the summer swimming season, I wanted to share alternatives that may help with the lack of chemicals and increases in prices.
