Hi friends! Tonight into tomorrow is lunar Samhain, the Witches New Year. A happy & blessed one to you all, and protection and goodness and deep autonomy your way this dark visioning moon!
Over the past year and a half I had a baby, and moved my work and family life to a small homestead in the country, actualizing over two decades of goals and dreaming! I also have moved locations on the net, from wildwomenwisdom.net to Kelmac.online to honor this.
Follow me there for more.
Blessings this Samhain
Lunar Samhain is tomorrow & I had wanted to get a picture of the yellow and brown corn against the blue October sky, because they are only colors that arrive a brief bit and only at this time of year and are…
Happiest Ostara full moon everyone! Ostara is the spring or vernal equinox in the northern hemisphere. It is when day and night are equivalent, and we celebrate the growing season.
That makes today the last full moon of winter, one that activates all the kerneled wisdom you accumulated during your time in Winter or the underworld.
Today's full moon is the light or potent-full side of the last, or maybe several last, new moons. What is on time will sprout, what isn't isn't meant, yet~
I have to say this image really tickled me, a sure sign of the lightness and whimsy of spring. I had nicknamed this image by Margaret Clark journey in between and that's what caught my attention, the Medial or in the middle energies so alive this week and the last lunation. Between old and new. Winter and spring.
And so on~
The little bit of spring or whim (Pink! I always called it) magic in the image for me was seeing the pumpkin, bc my compost is still hosting a full one and I am trying to find the right spot to green mulch my land that could also allow for a pumpkin patch to maybe take off, of its own accord? Between trying different no till and vermiculture techniques this spring, those pumpkins have endlessly made me have to stop and shrug and laugh.
It felt like this lil gal here is quite content in her harvest gourd offering. Content indeed to show up to her journey and allow it to usher her properly, in right time, along. So at one with the shades of dark and light and in between.
And so shall I be, as well. Trusting the practical magic of today's obstacle becoming tomorrow's bounty. The alchemy of surprise, the light side of life.
Be well, dear ones, and happy, blessed spring!
Happiest new moon, dear ones.
She arrives today about a half past noon on the midAtlantic seaboard countryside.
This marks the last lunation of winter, as Ostara, also known as the Spring Equinox, arrives with this lunation.
As for now, today, may Begin, Again magic be yours~may it Endure
Here's some fresh popped crocus' yesterday!

Happy Full Moon dear ones! Read on ~
Brigid’s Full Moon In honor of tonight’s full moon, and its alliance with last new moon, so Imbolc, Brigid, and the Virgin archetype overall, I’ve included some of the tidbits different solitary women& #82…
Happiest mid-winter loves
Monday’s full moon is part of the first lunation (complete moon cycle) of the new solar year, the new moon of winter solstice.
This is the lunation I call Dreaming moon. Dreaming moon is its own special time between times, time of the true power of winter arriving. When we reckon with stillness. The need for inactivity.
The feeling of darkness, of waned energy, all around.
How for the perpetually busy, this can feel like being “in traction.”
Because it is ~
From the website vocabulary.com,
An arm in traction is temporarily tied up, but it is probably on the mend. A person in traction is presently immobile, but traction can also be used to describe the state of an object being pulled, or the friction between that object and the surface it is pulled across.
And that is winter, especially moon 1. I’d reframe it, for the purpose of let’s say deep animism, to say we surrender to being temporarily immobile in order to get our footing in the soil of our new year. In order to gain traction.
Which, dig it, is ‘ever just right’ as one of our Women’s circle leaders often says. Because this is the lunation before lunar Imbolc, which arrives on the next new moon, overnight Jan 31 to Feb 1, (aligning it with traditional Imbolc as well so it will be a power tide!)
Lunar Imbolc is a cross-quarter, or mid-season sabbat. It marks the esoteric mid point of Winter, and the first energetic quickening: Imbolc we at times call “seed moon.”
Striving for too much (from ourselves, others, our expectations )before seed moon can be a real waste of pscyho/spiritual energetics. Now is the axiom~all things in their time, and that time is likely not now!
Full moons magnetize energy, sending more sunlight to the earth. So if you’re already feeling that discomfort of immobility, that running in circles false start sensation, know this weekend could accentuate it.
Or, you can slow down. Be with. Surrender to what you’re fighting. To the momentum of Winter, of Mother Nature’s course right now. If you can, drop deep:
Dreaming moon is a fabulous time to slow wayyy down within, to the inner retreat, the inner sanctum. To find joy in the practical, and believe deeply in the imaginal, the dreaming psyche/soul, full of potentiation for the harvest year to come. It’s the weekend to daydream to your wildest heart’s content! To hear for the longings and whispers, the emanations of what you’d so love to bring into being this year. Best tools or ritual work for this weekend is a wide open imagination and intentional work with what you deep deep down secretly in the shadow place believe (or don’t) you deserve…
Remind yourselves, dear ones, the seed has the imprint of but not the energy for—yet~the fruit. All things to their season. Dream big right now, for this weekend’s illuminated reveries drop seeds for action come next new moon~lunar Imbolc.
Dreaming moon is when we tend the soil of our Self.
To combat being “in traction” or false starts, this is the lunation for building the practical. Sleep habits. Basic health habits of nourishment like getting enough water, greens, fibers, proteins etc and especially whatever basic staples are specific to you. It’s the lunation to be on the look out in your own life. To practice the permaculture principle 1 (nod to my teacher Starhawk, here) Observe. Observe closely your own habits, especially if you are unable to add new ones or change ones as easily as you’d hoped.
See what you can see this weekend about yourself! Deepen the metaphor of illumination by being fiercely open-eyed and practical with your own life.
It’s always a good time to tend these practicalities, but maybe there could not be a better lunation then right now to tend the energetic imprint, the psycho-emotional or psycho-spiritual intention/will-motive behind them: Body Sovereignty
Body Sovereignty, which means deep emotional alignment with your right to your own sacred agency over your life, by claiming this agency beginning within: with the bodies of your body.
This is a Rite, and a right.
Body sovereignty
Body sovereignty
Body sovereignty~
Claim your Sovereignty. Over your heart body, your mind body. Your energetic and etheric bodies. Your deep intuitive or womb body. Your physical body, sacred home for all your bodies. Claim it over and over. Your right to heal and transform. To heal your trauma bodies, which begins by acknowledgement. Your own shadow body.
Imprint this this weekend. Your own willingness to grow in love and sacred autonomy, to transform your life and experience of living by focusing again and again on your own sovereignty.
Trust timing to show you the rest…by the time this lunation completes come next new moon, lunar Imbolc.
Happy Dreaming moon lovies! To the Rite of Body as Sacred, of the Bodies of the Body as Sovereign. So may it be~
~

The new moon is Sunday, a wonderful alignment with the solar new year. A time to be willingly intentional about a new cycle of life. We can be useful with the ease and descent, the pause retreat and reset of winter / solstice as teacher right now.
Retreat within, commit to this. Take care of the body as a rite. A commitment of love in action. Learn how it nourishes itself, what feeds it, sustains it. How.
Blessings of Begin Again grace to all, dear ones. Love and sovereignty in the new year, be blessed
Happy full moon willldies

Tonight's Final Harvest Full Moon, rising over Mama Atlantic
https://wildwomenwisdom.net/2021/10/06/samhain-season-arrives-so-we-enter-veil-tide/
Samhain season starts today! Today's new moon and the lunation that follows bring about the Final Harvest Full Moon and traditional or secular Samhain (Halloween) and end with Lunar Samhain which is the next dark to new moon on Nov 3.
Samhain is a cross-quarter holiday, preparing us for Winter and the cycles of death and dying. In older cultures whose sustenance relied on the cycles and seasons of Mama Earth, it was a time to consider the bounty of the land and the wisdom and blessings of ancestors past.
So I call this Ancestor season, this next moon lunation leading us to lunar Samhain.
I wrote about my own little personal Samhain practices and preparations for this year here. Happy Samhain tide, friends!
Samhain Season arrives! So we enter Veil Tide Katie got me the rose potion when she came to see me after baby grl was born. It was so touchingly warm and sentimental without being weepy or too much. The mild, loving thoughtful ways she showed …
Full moon weekend, weekend of Veils, Come~ ♥️⭐️
Mabon is Wednesday, Sept 22 in the Northern Hemisphere this year.
Full moons, recall, are felt for two to three days before and after she peaks, which for this lunation happens early in the morning Monday, Sept 20. With her ripening tide, just the other side of her peak in fact, comes Mabon, or the Second Harvest on the Mystery Path. This is known secularly as the first day of Fall or the Autumnal Equinox.
The Timing…the alignment of the Last Full Moon of the Summer alchemizing the Between the Veils of the Equinox. Magic is Afoot friends!
This is a powerFull powerFull weekend for it~Ritual serendipity and lived love blessings to you All
Big Love as you ready to lean in to the Dark friends!
Blessed be

New Moon this past Sunday evening: blessed Visioning to you all dear friends~
And with that, the practical Way of this. Learning to trust your Wisdom within by allowing pause to review What Is.
Meaning, the past weekend marked the end of the final lunation of Summer. The growth of the Season was held still this weekend, a time to tend by being with, a time to compost. Remember that compost, the stuff of old growth gone to rot, is full of nutrition for tomorrow’s seeds.
So as you descended into the darkness of Mama Earth’s shadow period, what was your weekend like? Think back a week ago today—Wednesday of last week and onward, what occurred? How was your emotional state? What were you longing or wistful for? What were you grateful for?
If you could’ve given over to any needs or instincts or wants, what would it have been? What actually happened? How were your relations? How are they? To your loved ones, to your own need meeting, to your community and communities, locally and larger?
Often we call the moon New when she is in her crescent phase, or just returning to the sky. It is a good time, right now as she enters that wispy, etheric return, to take time and make a physical practice for intention-setting through your own sacred ritual.
Good questions to set intentions by for the Crescent Moon today and this week: If you were to put Trust, Faith, in your instinct, your sensibility, your intuition over the weekend, what would that look like in real form? Maybe you awoke one day this week with clarity or fresh instinct. To trust in it, what would that mean?
Ritual, sacred ritual or tend, means to still yourself. To go within. To reconnect to the emotional or heart-body. Ritual, whether meditative, in journey, through devotion—outdoors or in private, in group or circle or prayer or spontaneous creative journaling or breath–in whatever way you practice it drops you into the non-linear or subconscious parts of the brain.
Setting intention during sacred ritual works because we access the subconscious mind, increasing alpha brain waves. When we return to the mundane day to day, linear decision making becomes more clear. This is the root of magic, dear ones. This is the how of manifestation: the heart of the sovereign soul.
New Moon started around complete nightfall here in the North hemi on the mid-Atlantic coast Sunday eve, about 9pm for us. In our county, it was the eve before first night of school, a true alignment of the secular “end of season” with the esoteric lunar end. The lunation that began this week brings about Mabon, known too as the Autumnal Equinox or Second Harvest.
Autumn is upon us, and so is Second Sea-sun or Local Season where I live, woohooo!!! There is much to celebrate. And perhaps, much to let go.
Remember, we let go to make room to Begin, Again.
Remember, Faith and Intention are good tools when we plant.
Remember. The season comes now when it is time~to Re-Member.
Remember. As school starts and Summer leisure times end, as we revisit Community and our individual part: To effect the whole begin small, within~
Remember. New Moon teaches us there’s always, always a chance to Begin, Again.
Blessings your Way this Good Moon, dear friends~

"I have never been anywhere except Richmond, Virginia, and New York, because I have always been told that only grown-up people were allowed to travel. But the good East Wind and the kindly Moon have taken me on rapturous journeys high above the world to get an enchanted view of things."
This is a quote on Dugald Stewart Walker's (1883-1937) Wiki page, the artist that created this image and also illustrated for some of Hans Christian Anderson's fairy tales.
I love it because it is how I know to interact with life, in convo with the Divine entities of Wind and Moon, and so much else, all examples of the glorious wonder of Great Walking Mystery here. Engaging the sacred mundane, the wild-what-are-we-doing-here with a sense of reverence and thanks for the chance ;)
This extra full moon between Lammas and Mabon is a Wishing Moon. I was reminded tonight by a Women's Mystery sister that what we make intention of on a New Moon shows by Full. Did you set intentions this lunation?
This is also true of Wheel of the Year work: Harvest Season, marked by Lammas, Mabon and Samhain, are when we see the Disseminating ("Wisdom") phase, or the fruits or pay off of our life energies for the year.
Were you longing or in whimsy or vision this Moon for what you wish in your life is still to come? Has there been a sense of thankfulness, or any areas where gratitude for all you have may have transformed your experience? Did you pass any meaningful or momentous markers this past week?
Intention and Faith are tools that help you prosper on the Earth path, whether by the Wheel or 13 moons. Paying attention to these cycle markers can show the power of these in action.
Happy Full Moon, a blessed lunation your way.
New Moon blessings this harvest season dear ones...Here a prayer to Ancient Mama Holy Mama that found its way to me this week, by Clarissa Pinkola Estes. May this lunation connect you in ways you most need~
Happy, blessed Lammas dear friends
By the Mystery Way of the 13 moons, Lammas, or what I call First Harvest on my own solitary path, is here! For pagans, our traditional Harvest season kicks off with Lammas, also known in the Celt influenced tradition as Lughnasa, on August 1. It lasts until Samhain, or Final Harvest.
On the Women’s Mystery path, Lunar Lammas is an esbat celebrated when the moon is full while in the astrological sun sign of Leo.
Tonight 🙂
I would love to throw up all these images of the Harvest of flowers in our rolling, wild gardens and from the bramble and brush at the forest’s edge here, but my harvest this year is so very different… and so this will be a short post, as me and my honey and our 11 year old and our newborn are nestling into the family room sofa for orange sunset and movie night. We paused a moment, as we’ve done so often, and listed our gratitudes with one another.
The most simple, earth bound and practically rooted way to celebrate outloud the entry to Harvest season.
For us, a harvest of hearth, to be sure.
I met my partner on a Lunar Lammas wishing moon ritual! Tonight, according to Mystery tradition, isn’t a wishing moon, but the next full moon on Aug 22 is. You can ready for Harvest season by reading up and beginning to think on, or feel into, how you’d like to honor these passings this year.
To read more about Harvest festivals in general, ancient and secular, go here. (see links on original post at WildWomenWisdom.net)
Lammas is a cross-quarter holiday. Remember the solstices and equinoxes “quarter” the year, and cross-quarters mark the middle of a Season. Lammas marks mid-summer, is southwest on the wheel, and is a strong time to call in animal guides in ritual, journey or through other divination tools like cards etc. Ancestor work at this between the Veils crossing is strong, as well, and a brief reminder here at least on my path that Harvest Season is also what we might call Ancestor Season.
Tonight’s a good night for offerings to the green alleys, genuis loci or spirits of the Place, to the Guides, allies or Ancestors …but in general, Lammas tide continues through the new moon so really any time or way your moved to mark ritual, make offerings or celebration, go with Your Flow!
I was moved this morning to offer libations.
To the Land, and to the dearly departed~
This earth path as I walk it is about making sacred of the mundane every day. Magic is afoot, if only you open your wonder, wander eyes to See.
Happy, Blessed Lammas-tide dear friends. Be good to you, be blessed as you do, and for God’s sake, don’t let them Tame you!!

Dark moon today dearest Ones! And New Moon moves us through tomorrow evening round 9pm on the east coast of the Northern Hemi.
We are in Cancer season, fierce season of emotions in the house of the Mother...easy access to the lower world root truths of the emotional body...generational patterning which is NOT about woundology and IS about healing. Healing how you relate...
House of the Mother in Season of Summer or Flame, Fire--Alchemy in any case of the Power of the Heart, of Joy, of Love.
Remember the mists...watery emotions transmuted by Fire...creates mist...mists are magic, what reality will you deem??
In what ways can the Ancient Mother, the Divine Feminine, be roused to support, transform, help you heal, help you release, help you reRelate?
Dark moon is Dreamtime, and New Moon is time for letting go and Beginning Again.
Maybe most important to keep eyes on right now is that this upcoming lunation brings about Lunar Lammas, or First Harvest with the Full Moon in two weeks!
That's right, by the 13 moons Harvest comes early this year, so expect a Quickening around the Bend.
Be well, dear friends. Use the light of summer's Heart Light to see in the Dreamtime of Dark Moon. What do you need? What have you grown?
Who (how) shall you be?
Blessed be us all, be good to you...Don't let them tame you!
