Soldiers from the 2nd Battalion, 69th Armor Regiment, 2ABCT, 3ID, 3rd Infantry Division, compete in the Croatian “Winter Challenge” at Bemowo Piskie Training Area, Poland, Jan. 5, 2024.
The Croatian “Winter Challenge” had the 3rd Infantry Division representing the U.S., the 12th Croatian Contingent “Iron Boars” representing Croatia, the Romanian Air Defense “Transylvanian Gepards” representing Romania, and the 15th Mechanized Brigade representing Poland.

Brothers since the womb now brothers in arms, Davin and Daniel Mayes graduated as U.S. Army Infantry Soldiers last week.
The two enlisted under the Army's Buddy Program, which allows up to four family members or friends to enlist together under the same MOS, complete initials entry training together, and even move to the same first duty station following graduation.
Though they entered as two brothers, they left as members of the Army's brotherhood.
Davin said you gain more brothers in training, and he knows those relationships will last regardless of where his fellow trainees will serve. “You live together for 22 weeks. You kind of just become one family,” Davin said.
“I came into the Army with one brother, and I’m leaving with forty-eight extras,” Daniel said. “We look out for each other, now and forever. Once a Soldier, always a Soldier.”

Did You Know?👀 The U.S. Army has deep sea divers and has a diver badge that Soldiers can earn?🌊🌊
Check out the U.S. Army divers🏊🏊♀️, conducting training dive off of a pier at Camp Covington, Guam. During the dive training jump, an extraction drill was performed to verify the team's ability to rapidly respond to emergencies.
On 17 September 2004, the Scuba Diver Insignia/ Badge was discontinued in lieu of a new Special Operations Diver Badge. An additional grade, the Special Operations Dive Supervisor Badge, was created as well.
The new design includes sharks, symbolizing speed, stealth, and lethal efficiency, and two Fairbairn-Sykes Fighting Knives points up, representing the heritage of OSS operational swimmers during World War II. / The CDF logo was inspired by this design. Retired SF Colonel Robert W. Marrs, who commanded a 7th Special Forces Group Combat Dive detachment, reflected, "...the Scuba course was the most physically demanding school in the U.S. Army that I attended."
The Army Combat Diver Qualification Course (CDQC) and Army Combat Dive Supervisor Course (CDSC) are taught by Company C, 2nd Battalion, 1st Special Warfare Training Group at the Special Forces Underwater Operations School (SFUWO), Naval Air Station Key West.

Douglas Galick visited Army Engineers at U.S. Army Fort Cavazos, TX, during a division-sized combined arms exercise, "Remagen Ready," featuring wet gap crossings spearheaded by the 36th Engineer Brigade, I Armored Corps.
Engineers are vital to large-scale combat operations and are responsible for bridging the gaps and clearing the way forward for friendly forces.

Thank you Mr. Jim Bernet for having us talk about the Army Reserve & especially the Minuteman Scholarship.
MINUTEMAN (MM) SCHOLARSHIP. Minuteman Scholarships can cover up to four years. They guarantee that Cadets who commission as Army Officers will serve in the Army Reserve. A Minuteman Scholarship requires a nomination letter (from Reserve Ambassador) as part of the scholarship packet and offers either full tuition and mandatory fees or a room and board flat rate of $10,000 per year, covering up to four years (or eight semesters) of benefits.
Minuteman Scholarship recipients also receive a $1,200 annual book allowance and a monthly stipend of $420 for 10 months of the academic year. Minuteman Scholarship Cadets must participate in the Reserve Officers' Training Corps Simultaneous Membership Program while attending college, so they will also receive pay for attending a drill one weekend per month and a two-weeks annual training in a local reserve unit near their chosen university.
In return for these scholarship benefits, a Minuteman Cadet will serve as a Commissioned Officer in the Army Reserve in a drilling status for eight years after graduation.
To qualify for these scholarships, you must:
✅ Be a U.S. citizen.
✅ Be ASVAB, medically and morally qualified at MEPS.
✅ Have an endorsement letter from Army Reserve Ambassador.
✅ Be accepted to a college/university with an ROTC program.
✅ Have a 2.5 cumulative GPA and maintain a 2.0.
✅ As an incoming freshman, have a minimum 19 ACT or 1000 SAT to qualify for the four-year Minuteman Scholarship
✅ Be under 31 years of age for the entire year of commissioning.
✅ Be a full-time student. Part Time Army Reserve.

“A surf shop led to a call to service for Spc. Justin Molino. While Chief Military Science Instructor, Sgt. Maj. Andrew Porch, was PCSing to Army ROTC Georgia Military College last summer, he met Molino at a beach surf shop. Molino told Porch that he had begun the U.S. Army enlistment process, and Porch gave Molino some words of advice and connected him with a US Army Recruiting Command (USAREC) sergeant major to discuss Military Occupational Specialty options. Fast forward a year, Molino has completed his Basic Combat Training, passed the Ranger Assessment and Selection Program to become a The 75th Ranger Regiment Ranger, and today, he graduated from Fort Moore's Basic Airborne Course. You never know who'll you'll meet, or where a life of service can take you!”💥
