My name is Christin and on a whim, I started a furniture flipping project. I find old outdated furniture and breathe it new life for others to enjoy.

I'm also in the process of updating my 1970's era home and love the DIY life. I'm learning as I go!

UPDATE: SOLD to a lovely buyer in Oklahoma City. Thank you so much! ❤️

**********
This dresser was a beast of a project. I got ahead of myself in my excitement and didn’t fully inspect it before buying it.

Anything that could go wrong did. And as much as I wanted to set it out for big trash on more than one occasion, I remained steadfast in my commitment to finish it. I wish I could say that it was sheer determination driving that. But I’d be lying. I just wasn’t willing to throw that much money away. Whatever works though. Who says what constitutes a noble effort anyway? ME!

I used Bellwood by Fusion Mineral Paint and top coated with polycrylic. I replaced the front and back braces due to the discovery of warped, water damaged particle board. I lined the drawers to bring them up to date, and replaced the handles (which turned out to be brittle plastic!) with a modern metal pull.

It took much blood, sweat, and tears to complete this set. But I did it and feel proud of my efforts. And definitely learned A LOT.

This piece was so much fun to reimagine and breathe new life into. It took me a hot minute to figure out what to do with it. My strategy was to simply start and let the process unfold organically. I didn’t know the next step before I moved on from the previous. This romantic beauty unfolded literally one step at a time.

This was a fun project to redesign. From dark and dreary to light, romantic, and airy.
