On this Good Friday, what a timely moment for us to pause and reflect on Isaiah 53. For my fellow believers in Jesus Christ, we are reminded today that He uniquely understands the pain and sadness that comes from death. This passage also reminds us that we serve a God who will deliver us peace and healing, which is my prayer today for Oklahoma.

Isaiah 53:4-5 English Standard Version (ESV)

4 Surely he has borne our griefs
and carried our sorrows;
yet we esteemed him stricken,
smitten by God, and afflicted.
