This is another great example of how Senate Democrats are willing to reach across the aisle and put people over politics.

Senate Bill 1751 would require training, unless waived by the court, specific to dementia, including understanding the disease, communication techniques, and information about resources for caregivers. The training would be provided at no cost through the Alzheimer’s Association and takes roughly one hour to complete online. This training is important in helping caregivers better understand their role in caring for a loved one with Alzheimer's disease or another dementia and provides information and support as they become a legal guardian.
