As per usual for this time of the year, my inbox is filling up with leads. While normally I'd be over the moon, sadly I can't take any of the leads at this time.
I'm currently in the middle of a life adventure.
After 20-ish years of building my career in Tulsa and OKC, I made a big leap to Manitoba, Canada in June 2024! While I’m working on my permanent residence and work visa (a.k.a. the world’s longest paperwork marathon), I’m on a temporary work hiatus until Summer 2025.

I thought I’d get reacquainted with natural light shooting. Not even a reflector! How’d I do!?

I made this! The human and the photos!! 😆

I can't work in Canada yet because I'm waiting to get all the application stuff in to be approved for permanent residence and thus, a work permit. I can't leave the country to work in the states because my visa isn't one that lets me just hop back and forth.
So in the meantime, I have a gorgeous model to work with!
I haven't unpacked the two GIANT cases filled with my lighting rigs, and my lighting stands are still all safe and snug.
BUT! I have my cameras all unpacked and decided to get reacquainted with the world of natural light only. Not even a reflector!

How'd I do?

Yesterday was my first birthday in Canada! I got to go photograph Northern lights for the first time. How'd I do for my first time?

My last session at Myriad Botanical Gardens, before I move. ❤
I met this couple when I photographed thier wedding. We also shot their engagement images and our favorite shot from the engagement shoot was in this same spot as the belly kiss pic. Love these and so honored that this couple has stuck w/ me since we met!

I love all the people I've been so lucky to build friendships with! ❤

I have stopped taking bookings for this year and I can finally announce why!
I’m moving to Canada! I will no longer be taking weddings for Oklahoma in 2024, but I’ll be booking weddings in both the states and Canada starting in mid 2025. So keep an eye out for that.

I’ll be keeping this page and announcing any and all new projects as they come up.

Hi lovelies!
I’ve been a bit radio silent. I had Flu A followed by Covid and that took up all of my January. Then in mid Feb I bruised my tailbone in an unfortunate hammock incident. 🙃

I’m healing nicely and will be back in office on April 1st. That’s no joke! 😉

I’m not booking anymore weddings for 2024, but I’m taking sessions for April and May.

If you’re in the process of booking, I’m still answering emails and such. My responses just are not as immediate as usual.

Thank you for all my check-ins and well wishes. I’m doing great, just taking it easy to ensure I’m fully healed for wedding season!!!

Another beautiful sunset at The Springs Event Venue! Check out the sunset Sydney and Christopher got! 😍

Let me set the scene for you...
You finish a pet portrait session, ride the ferris wheel w/ your love as you watch the sunset.
Then you finish your ferris wheel ride, walk into the center of the action In the park, think people throwing ball, taking selfies, having a little picnic. You proudly strut your bright red haired self to the center of the action, camera set and ready to go up to your eye, then you slide slowly into the splits all the way to the ground, hinge at the waist, resting your elbows on the ground.
It's all for the shot. I also got up and clicked my heels when I got the shot too. LOL

Happy almost Halloween! I just always use this excuse to share my adorable little gal Dee dressed up as Rosie the Riveter.

She learned that her great gma, my badass granny, was part of the women that held down the workforce. So of course we deep dived into everything that is/was Rosie the Riveter and naturally when halloween came that year, well she had to be Rosie.
