When you Invest in Lasting Good, you commit to lift up generations ahead of you toward a brighter.
We love supporting Camps Ministry!
We grateful to be able to partner with Sistema Tulsa and look forward to many years of beautiful music and lasting impact.
Leaders from our Founding Partner the Oklahoma Methodist Foundation visited us recently to encourage us and affirm their support to our community. They got to visit our rehearsals, hear our music, philosophy, organizational process, and many success stories. The Rev. David Wiggs, Jose Luis Hernandez, and Kelsey Rooney-Dorst also had the opportunity to host our special guests.
Since 2015 we have been working together to provide a free, inclusive, and accessible music education program nestled in the community and as a ministry of Boston Avenue United Methodist Church for All Tulsa children and youth. Through the Foundation, Visionary Funders from The Petree Fund program have awarded Sistema Tulsa generous multi-year grants, funding musical instruments, materials, and direct educational support to students in 5 different learning sites across our system.
We will be deepening our partnership in the years ahead and continue to create "lasting good" together. Thank you, Julie Nance and Jimmy Doyle for your visit!
We loved helping the great work Skyline does every single day! Skyline Urban Ministry is definitely an organization worth supporting as they bridge gaps for individuals and families with such care and dignity. Keep up the good work!
When we invest in lasting good, we invest in young people's "ability to build community and teamwork, set goals, and deepen their creative and analytical engagement with music." We are proud to get to be a part of what Sistema Tulsa is doing every day!
Summer time means one thing: it's Camp Season!
The experiences that happen at Methodist Campgrounds in Oklahoma change the lives of young people forever, and we are always excited to support them!
Reese wanted to make a difference at camp, and she boldly took action! Check out her story.
School is out for the summer but the LPI team is hard at work! Thanks to a generous grant from the W.W. And Rose Woodworth Trust through the Oklahoma Methodist Foundation, Tech-Vac Heating & Cooling El Paso TX & Las Cruces NM is installing new heating/cooling solutions. LPI students will be welcomed back on campus to a environment conducive to learning!
I know you've been wondering... we have an exciting announcement!
The Board of Trustees of the Oklahoma Methodist Foundation, after a time of consideration, has chosen Mr. Billy Meade as our new President. Barbara Braught, Board Chair, has expressed her deep gratitude to all those involved in the process. “Billy’s stellar professionalism and past work experience with the Foundation has made him an excellent choice for our organization. We are looking forward to the leadership he will bring to carry out our mission to Invest in Lasting Good.” Mr. Meade has worked for OMF for almost 24 years and will start in the new role immediately, following retiring President, Mr. Bill Junk.
We welcome and celebrate Billy in this new season. Would you join us in praying for the lasting work of the Foundation for the Kingdom of God? We invest in the church—We invest in lasting good!
Celebrating our beloved President Bill Junk today and his retirement after 35 years serving God at the Foundation!
We are so grateful for all the ways you have expanded the Kingdom of God through the ministry we get to support every day. May you be blessed through this next season and see even more of the faithfulness of Jesus Christ. We love you!

We have some exciting news about a momma and her children!! This special family lives in Sequoyah county and is scheduled to go to court on March 2nd. This court date is to decide a possible process for reunification. This momma is receiving support from her Parent to Parent mentor and Parent to Parent coordinator. A part of their support will be accompanying her to court. We are anticipating that she will be moving towards unsupervised overnights and trial reunification.
This is a huge deal, as Adair and Sequoyah counties have a low reunification rate. We are so proud of this wonderful momma, our mentor and our coordinator! Feel free to share your encouragement in the comments as we will be sharing it with her. This is a huge win for both momma and kids!!
Funding for this program provided by the Arnall Family Foundation and Oklahoma Methodist Foundation ❤️
Let’s take a day together, as pastors and lay people, to be encouraged and find hope. No matter what challenges arise, we must seek to engage in our communities to bring the healing love of Jesus Christ. This day will both inspire and equip you to be the hands and feet of God in your neighborhoods.
