Painted this for a friend
I'm so glad to be painting again I had had a painter's block for months it seemed like. This is a painting of a barn that I had taken a photo of in Spring Hill Kansas. I've named this one "Just a Retired Old Barn".
I did enhance the color only, I don't have good lighting
Painting in process....3'x 4'. I will be giving this painting to my three great-grandbabies. Lorelei, Tallulah and Dalaney Jane. I think this is a fun painting that will capture their imagination with a lot of adventure and smiles. If you look real close there's baby possums, a green frog, ants, a weasel, a squirrel that lost his acorn and much more.
"Start the Conversation" for mental health art exhibition. Put on by Wyandotte County Mental Health. Artists were welcome from all over the community to contribute their work. I'm so glad I had the opportunity to do that and the energy. It was such a wonderful time for me personally. And I want to think all those that prayed had me in their heart and thought about me and those that actually were able to come on a Friday and see my art display. I just want to say thank you thank you thank you. God bless you
This is Roger he is 90 years old and he has had Alzheimer's for 17 years. I got to spend some time with Roger sitting at his dining room table doing I guess you could call Creative Arts. He didn't want to color but he did want to work the crossword puzzle and watch me color. It was a great time with Roger. My little dog Little Izzy May went with me she is a great little comforter I could call her a therapy dog at least that day. Family consent to put out his photo on this website.
Did you know...? One of my favorite things I enjoy doing is leading art classes for small groups and families. My main goal in art is to have fun and stir that creativity in others, as well as keeping it stirred in myself.
If you're interested in an in-home art workshop experience, please send me a message and we'll chat! God bless you.
I want to make sure I save my memories on my web page here. This is a painting I did for my son many years ago. It was probably the second largest painting I've ever done. He used to live on the island of Kodiak in Alaska. When you look at the painting in person you will see a bear leaning up against a tree. God bless you
Doc and I doing art in downtown Olathe. We had a blast. Artist of all types are very interesting people! Just saying
My oldest son is a Kansas City Missouri firefighter. This is a drawing that I did of his boots that he has worn for many many years.
Playing with water color...
It's fun to look back on memory lane through my creativity on canvas.
A good friend of mine asked me to paint her old home that they used to live in. It was a good challenge for me it had been a while since I had painted with such detail. It was a lot of fun though. The lighting's not real good but other than that I just wanted to share my art with you. God bless you.
I painted this probably 10 years ago. It is hanging on my stair wall. A prism hangs from a window upstairs and the Sun was shining through and I captured this rainbow on my painting I thought it was very beautiful wanted to share it. God bless you have a beautiful day
Keep on keeping on....one stroke at a time...

"Oh Happy Fall"
I'm not sure why I like this, but I do. Just a messed up painting that still has some beauty to it.
Watercolor is such a new challenge for me. But it's exciting and fun.
Just practicing with watercolor, this was my first attempt at an elephant... I thought he turned out really pretty cute. Watercolor is such a different medium but I think I might like it. This painting is a gift for my great-granddaughter Miracle McKenzie
I am scratching with the graphite pencil trying to practice. But I like the serenity this graphite drawing gives me. This was also done down in the mountains of Oklahoma at The Veterans Club...
I so enjoy drawing trees. Each one is so unique and different just like us. I drew this down in the mountains of Oklahoma this tree was right outside my bedroom window. Sometimes I like to look and see beyond the natural drawing. It looks to me like there is a woman and a man standing beyond the main tree. The woman has on a white long cape you can see her whole body , and the man all I can see is his shoulder and his head behind the tree. They're draped together walking side-by-side through the mountains. They're about as big as the tree though. Anyway God bless you guys
