THANKFUL THURSDAY 🍁

What’s something you’re thankful for?

(Long post ahead) 🫨

I’m thankful for my best friend getting me involved with Scentsy. I was literally on the verge of selling my things because I was off work for an injury. I felt useless and as if I were a failure. I couldn’t pay my bills. I’d already spent my savings. It was a disaster in this ‘silent depression’.

She threw the idea at me and I was reluctant. I’m a social worker, not a freaking salesperson. I’d also heard all of those crazy horror stories about MLMs and the abundance of money that people had to invest to have their “business” under a bunch of people who just sat there from afar making money while you lose money and bust your butt. I’m not down for that. I’m a firm believer in working hard for what you have.

It’s not free to join, of course, but ultimately you pay yourself back for the small investment very quickly. It’s a process (which I’m still learning and working towards) to earn money—because you have to get out there even if you’re scared and talk to people about the things you love and get a customer base. It’s work. That’s the point.

But you guyyys! It’s more than just a ‘job’. It’s a network. It’s friendships. It’s opportunities. It’s support. It’s feeling included. It’s freaking free things that you love. It’s trips. It’s stuff you wouldn’t otherwise experience.

At the end of the day, at the very least you get away with products to start for less than you’d pay for an order! You literally keep it allllll! It’s yours.

If you’re not already a smell good stuff addict, the stuff you get in a starter kit will sway you very quickly 😮
