TNT STOP in Claremont, Illinois has rescheduled an event. Jake Martin will not be playing solo on Friday, July 1st there, but he and the band will play on Sunday, July 3 from 1 to 4 p.m. at TNT Stop's big Independence Day Celebration complete with fireworks that evening! Come out and listen to some great classic rock! Good food, music, spirits, and celebration! Same place, different day. See you there!

The prices of my highlights/colors have increased. I’ve been thinking about this for a while as the techniques have changed and products used have changed. We no longer just add highlights and tone like we used to unless that is your preference. A lot of these looks that we see now on Pinterest, Instagram, tiktok, etc come in a three step process that take a lot of time and money. I find myself spending a lot of money on products and not really charging an appropriate amount considering the amount of time I need to do these services or the amount of product I’m using on people. The length of the hair/thickness plays a big part as well. I haven’t really been fair to myself considering these factors. I know we live in a small town where people don’t make a lot of money and that’s why raising these rates has been an ongoing battle for me. But I’m seeing other stylist all over town raising their prices or they have had them raised for some time and people pay these prices. I am no longer going to be able to give quotes through messages. I have found in the past that I give quotes and then realize it’s going to take me more time and money than I thought after I see the client in person. When I’m charging these prices please consider the electric I’m using in the salon, the heat, the air, the water to wash the hair several times, the expensive shampoo, conditioner, deep conditioner, hair spray, serum, moose, hair products, foils, caps, developer, toners, color, bleach. Everything I use isn’t cheap by any means. To keep myself afloat and to be able to keep doing what I love I’m going to have to charge the appropriate amount. I thank you all for supporting me all these years. Each one of you mean so much to me. I hope you all understand and know I appreciate you. Please message me with any questions.
