Getting started with Enlightenment Home Care is as easy as making a phone call! Our office staff will take a moment to listen to your situation and help you schedule a complimentary in-home assessment. We'll meet with you and talk in detail about your or a loved one's care needs and answer any questions you have about how our services work.

Once we've created a personalized care plan, we'll match you up with one of our qualified caregivers and arrange a meet & greet. After that, you'll be all set for care!

Pregnancy can be overwhelming for everyone involved, but you don't have to struggle through it alone!

Enlightenment home care offers pre and post-natal care as well as newborn care for up to 10 weeks! We'll take care of baby so new parents can get some rest OR take care of you so new baby gets care from happy, rested family.

At Enlightenment Home Care LLC, we believe in making sure our team of Caregivers has every opportunity to grow and learn within their field. We offer HCA training classes completely FREE to any of our employees in exchange for a year of employment. This 9 week course, taught by our CEO herself, gives caregivers everything they need to know to prepare for their HCA test. Sonnie has over 17 years of nursing experience and provides all the necessary books, in-person skill labs, and modules required to complete the course.

We encourage people with the desire to enter into caregiving to come and work with us, even if they don't have their HCA - we can't teach compassion, but we can teach you the skills you need to become a qualified Home Care Aid. The more people who take our course and become certified, the more we can enrich our community with skilled caregivers ready to help people in need.

"I am Songaya Gay, Owner and Founder of Enlightenment Home Care. I grew up in California's Bay Area before relocating to the state of Washington to raise my two wonderful sons.

I started nursing school back in 1999 with my older sister. We took it step by step together all the way. It was a long journey as a single mother working full time raising my two children as well as being a foster parent to many children in need for seven years.

​I graduated in 2007. Although not complete, it was a proud day. Since then, I have been working as a nurse in different specialized areas. I have worked in Long Term Care, Rehabilitation, Hospice, secure Dementia, Postpartum, NICU level I & II, Corrections at maximum security prisons, Primary Care, Inpatient Psychiatric and Residential Mental Health for Veterans.

During all of my time nursing I found the most joy when I was interacting with my patients on a one on one personal level. At a time where I was giving them my undivided attention. I was advocating for their needs, rejoicing with them on their good days, motivating them on their difficult days and just sitting quietly with them on those days when words are not the answer.

I knew that this type of care was what I wanted to give to all of my patients. However what I learned was that in the business of working it just isn't possible, it is actually frowned upon at times. I needed a way where I could care for people not only the way I wanted to care for them, but the way people appreciated and wanted my kind of care."
