FFA Officers Caelyn Lashley and Ava Kendrick were this months presenters for the Beauregard FFA’s Ag in the Classroom activity. They did a wonderful presentation about Vet Science where they explained the difference between large and small animal vets. They had engaging activities where the kids sorted large and small animals as well as animal pictionary. The kids were split into two teams and had to guess the animal being drawn. We’re so excited to continue our collaboration with Beauregard Elementary School!
We extend our sincere gratitude to the Alabama Nursery Landscape Association for providing an invaluable opportunity for our students to engage with the Green industry and explore associated career paths. Students had the chance to operate various equipment, including zero-turn lawn mowers, electric mowers, mini excavators, trenchers, skid steers, stand-on skid steers, and tractors, while collaborating closely with industry experts. Thank you for facilitating such an awesome, hands-on learning experience.
Pictures of our student body grades 9th through 12th after casting their vote in the Beauregard FFA’s mock election!
Today, the Beauregard FFA hosted a mock election to prepare not only our members but the entire student body for the voting process! First students were required to register to vote prior to Election Day. As they made it to the voting location they were required to have proof of registration along with a form of physical identification. They were then handed a ballot and pointed to a desk where they could privately cast their vote. After casting their vote. they turned it in to the ballot box. Finally, they received an “I Voted” sticker to proudly display that they participated in their civic duty! We made sure to have a photo station where they could smile pretty! More of those pictures to come😄

Friday we had a very exciting visit from the wonderful Central District President Alyx Johnson! She gave all our members the inspiring lesson on her “Why”. The “Why” is what makes an exceptional member! She encouraged our members to think about their “Why” through an activity called “I couldn’t live without”, where they listed what was important to them. At the end of her lesson she brought a sense of competition to our members as we played the “Cup Game”! We’re so grateful that we had the opportunity to learn from her!💙💛
As high school students, we had the incredible opportunity to witness firsthand the intricate process of cotton production, from harvesting to ginning. This hands-on experience not only opened our eyes to the world of production agriculture but also instilled in us a deeper appreciation for the everyday items we often take for granted, such as our clothes, linens, and even our paper currency.
The passion and dedication of the agriculturalists we encountered during our Farm Day event were truly inspiring. We gained a newfound understanding of the hard work and attention to detail that goes into cultivating this versatile and essential crop.
Through this immersive experience, we have developed a profound respect for the cotton industry and the vital role it plays in our lives. We now approach our daily interactions with textiles, paper, and other cotton-based products with a renewed sense of appreciation, recognizing the intricate processes and the countless hands involved in bringing these items to us.
This opportunity has not only enriched our academic understanding but has also fostered a greater connection to the world around us. We are grateful for the chance to witness the fabric of our lives being woven before our eyes, and we look forward to applying the insights we've gained to our future endeavors.
We are beyond excited that our chapter has moved into the final round of eliminations that will determine 1st in the Nation in the National Premier Chapter Award in the area of Strengthening Agriculture. We’re excited moving forward and diligent in our preparation! Indianapolis here we come💙💛
Wednesday our Chapter Officers Tanya Martinez and Gracyn Lashley had the privilege of launching an activity we call Ag in the Classroom! They conducted a lesson at our own elementary school that was an introduction to agriculture. We had so much fun and can’t wait till the next lesson!
