I attended the annual City of White House Fire Department Station 2 breakfast this morning 🥞☕️ I met so many of our local firefighters and had a nice chat with Assistant Chief Rob. I told him about our Patches of Honor program and how we do honor fire families too and that in fact, our fire widow, just joined board! 🙌💙❤️

WHFD’s Administrative Assistant Vicky Vaughn, who is so kind and is the go-to girl 🙌, provided me with a handful of fire patches to send to the kids of fallen firefighters 🚒 in my support group. So excited to send these out! ❤️

Here’s another shout out to everyone in thanking everyone for such a warm welcome. 🤗 We absolutely love ❤️ it here! Keep your eye out for our vendor booth at the Jingle & Mingle event on November 7th‼️ Remember that 100% of ALL proceeds are donated BACK to a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, so that we can support our more than 300 families we have helped to date.

One of our first stops we made when we moved into town was to swing by the new brick 🧱 and mortar brew shop that Terrence and Lisa Hanou, owners of Blue Line Roasting Co. Tactically Crafted Coffee just moved into. A very impressive set up they have going on here, which is maybe 2 minutes from our new home! 🏡 👍 Sorry, they are just brewing here so don’t stop by like it’s a Star-you-know-what‼️ But they do have an equally sharp trailer where they will be slinging their finely brewed coffee at events all over the Nashville area! If you see them and buy a bag tell them that Blue_Wives_Matter sent you their way! 🙏💙☕️
Terrence sure has come a long way since he began and he definitely has a footprint here in Tennessee now too! So proud of my friend and can’t wait to see him and Lisa continue to grow their business! 🙏💙☕️

The How 2 Love Our Cops' Peer Support Team began in late 2020, after witnessing a great need for family members to talk through the difficulties they faced that year and moving forward. How 2 Love Our Cops brought in excellent trainers from Warrior’s Rest Foundation to teach the CISM models for individuals and groups, tailoring the training to be family specific. Their certified team of volunteers are all spouses or family members of Law Enforcement or First Responders. They truly understand this career and the challenges that come along with sharing our loved ones with the public as they put their lives on the line every day.
They are culturally competent because they walk the same journey.

Since then, their peers have responded to over 400 family members and officers. Their peer team has been credited with saving the lives of multiple individuals, through providing a listening ear, giving resources and referrals, and providing next steps. Everyone at How 2 Love Our Cops are overjoyed knowing their efforts are making a difference in their police and first responder families.

And now, the next step in providing help for their families is here! In partnership with Cordico, families now have access to trained family member peers through their national (non-emergency) helpline.

San Diego Police Sergeant Nicholas Nguyen of First Responder Whiskey Society and his wife Sarah Jeltema of Whiskynomad suffered a devastating house fire on the night of June 13, 2024 when a dryer fire quickly spread to the roof. 💔🙏Everyone, including their beloved pets, were safely evacuated.

In the midst of her grief, a glimmer of hope arrived in the mail — Kristi Tovar(Vella) received a donation from the Westminster Police Officers' Association ❤️ It was a gesture of compassion, a lifeline during a time of heartache. 🙏

📬That check somehow went astray for 2 years never reaching Kristi Tovar’s (Vella) hands. Yet, the Westminster Police Officers' Association proved that their support knows no bounds. They made sure Kristi received the support she so deserved plus they added an additional donation 🙏💙

✉️ With unwavering dedication, the Westminster Police Officers' Association tracked down the missing check and, without hesitation, sent it back to the Huntington Beach Police Department / Huntington Beach Police Association. It may have taken a detour, but the warmth and compassion of the Westminster Police Officers' Association FINALLY arrived intact. 🌈✨
