"Community Care Initiative"

I am committed to serving you!

As your Sheriff I will prioritize your safety! Not only will I ensure the Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office has a highly trained, adequately staffed, and well-prepared work force ready to protect and serve when you call, I will work side-by-side with community partners to protect our most vulnerable residents.

Today, I launched the 'Community Care Initiative' to reach out to our seniors who cannot risk leaving their homes because of the COVID-19 pandemic. A team of Sheriff's Office personnel, other county employees and volunteers are calling seniors in Clackamas County to ask them if they need food, medicine, basic household supplies, or just a friendly person to visit with. Once needs are identified, our team then packs care boxes and delivers them for a “safe” porch drop off.

I want every Clackamas County resident, especially our seniors, to know you are not alone, we care, and we are here for you.

A vote for me is a vote for a Clackamas County Sheriff's Office that is ready to protect and serve you especially when you need us the most!

Tina Kramer, Retired Investigator, Clackamas County District Attorney’s Office:

"Undersheriff Brandenburg is the type of person the community and the deputies need as Sheriff. She is ethical, caring, smart, dedicated, experienced, and has the desire and the ability to work for the needs of the deputies and staff of the Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office as well as the needs of the residents of Clackamas County. She is committed to offender accountability and rehabilitation, and also understands and cares deeply about the needs of crime victims.

I have known Undersheriff Brandenburg for more than 20 years and worked with her as she moved up the ranks from Patrol Deputy through various promotions and assignments. Most recently, I worked with her while she was the Director of the Family Justice Center, A Safe Place, where she brought her years of experience along with her ability to lead to a place that is integral and innovative and serves crime victims.

Undersheriff Brandenburg is the type of leadership our community and law enforcement needs - a balanced, progressive leader."

Special unit forms to tackle sexual assault in Oregon City

Real leadership is having the ability to understand what needs to change, knowing how to make it happen, and having the courage to make system-wide changes so we can better meet the needs of victims. I am proud of the fact that I have a record of doing just that and I will continue to do this as your next Sheriff.

Today reminded me of why I love my community and why I am thankful to have had the opportunity to serve the residents of Clackamas County for over 29 years.

There are so many people, like Julia at Coffee Rush in Oregon City, and others who are working tirelessly to help keep a sense of normalcy for all of us during these unprecedented and uneasy times. Stop for a moment like I did today to simply say “thank you” to those who are stocking store shelves, fueling up your car, handing you your favorite to-go drink, and keeping the bulk bins filled.

If you get the chance say “thank you” to a deputy sheriff, police officer, firefighter, paramedic, 911 operator, nurse, doctor, or those working hard behind the scenes providing support so that these folks can carry out their mission. They continue to show up every day working on the front lines taking care of our community, our friends, and our family members. None of us can do this alone - we are all in this together.

Thank you Hood River County Sheriff Matt English for your vote of confidence by endorsing me in my run for Clackamas County Sheriff. I look forward to our continued partnership so that we can best serve our communities effectively and efficiently.

Rumor Control: I have had people ask me how long would I be serving if elected Sheriff. Some believed it would only be for two years. A Sheriff serves for four years before the next election cycle. If you choose to elect me as your Sheriff, I would be honored to serve you for four years or longer if you approved of the job I was doing for you.

My biggest fan. ❤️ you son!
Hang tight everyone - Spring is just around the corner!

Diane Harvey (Wehage), Former Director of the Clackamas County District Attorney’s Office – Victim Assistance Program:

"Over the past 20 years, I have had the opportunity to work side-by-side with Undersheriff Angela Brandenburg as a professional community partner. In her role as the Director of A Safe Place Family Justice Center, Angela has proven her commitment to supporting victims of abuse, working hard to keep families safe, supporting victim rights and giving all victims a voice within the criminal justice system; all the while diligently working to hold offenders accountable.

Undersheriff Brandenburg represents integrity, transparency and individual responsibility. She has the experience, skill set and erudition to make a positive change within Clackamas County. Angela would be an excellent Sheriff for the residents of Clackamas County. "
