The Sheriff's Posse was founded in 1939 by Clackamas County citizens as an all-volunteer organizatio

To promote public safety and community involvement by acting as horse-mounted representatives of the Clackamas County Sheriff's Office at community functions such as fairs, parades, and community meetings, and to preserve the tradition and history of the Clackamas County Sheriff’s Posse. Some of the Posse's activities are: Clackamas Town Center Patrol on horseback, 4-H Tack Sale, National Night Out, and Molalla 4th of July Parade.
