Giving thanks becomes habitual as we continue to practice it. When we are intentional about giving thanks over a period of time our happiness goes up 10% and depression on average goes down 35%. Our brain literally rewires itself and automatically starts seeing the joy in every day.
An easy way to start practicing this is just to make it obvious. Put reminders around you everywhere. Simple notes in your car or a message on the bathroom mirror. Just practice once or twice consistently every day and before you know it - your world will look different.
