Well according to goggle, a garden is a planned space, usually outdoors, set aside for the cultivation, display, and enjoyment of plants and other forms of nature. And a gardener is (1.) A person who is employed to cultivate or care for a garden, lawn, etc. and
(2) Any person who gardens or is skillful in gardening.
This is true for describing a gardener, but as for a garden it could be anywhere you can stick a plant, on your patio, your veranda, in your backyard or on acres and acres of land. Also, you can use the simplest of medium for planting, it does not have to expensive store-bought containers and pots, raised beds and expensive soils'.
