TIME ISN’T REAL 🤯

I know what you’re thinking. “Alexis, of course time is real, look at a clock 🕚”.

Here me out!

Time is just a construct made to organize the modern world, to help us all be on the same page.

They teach us that time is linear; a line that goes back (past), has a middle (present), and goes forward (future). ↔️

But in reality, time is not a line, but a dot • ! The only time that actually exists is now, the present.

Don’t get me wrong, I think the general understanding of time being a line is relevant to our society and is futile to us humans getting anything productive done.

So why think of time as a dot then?

Thinking of time as a dot becomes relevant when you’re talking personally, self-progress.

Waiting to be happy? You can’t wait for time to move forward to become happy, because it’ll never come. Happiness is the present.

“I’m really struggling to complete my business tasks each day, they’re becoming too much. But I’m gonna wait to outsource a VA”. Why are you waiting? 🧐

If you want something to change in your future, you have to act in the present, because your future doesn’t even exist yet. It’s just how time works.

Instead of the inept to-do list, try a calendar! Take your tasks off of the to-do list, estimate how much time each task will take you, and move it into your calendar. This is basically making a production plan for your work, because you can visually see what time you’re supposed to do each task.
