More good news for the week 👇 Today Rally announces the next set of eight social ventures to join its Winter cohort. These fellows join Rally from right here in Central Florida and around the world to grow and develop their social enterprise. Some of the issues they're addressing include bringing financial stability to low and middle class Americans through increasing access to wealth-building assets, helping Latinas clarify and reach their career goals, reducing energy consumption with high quality lighting solutions, eliminating online and offline bullying to prevent real world violence, raising awareness for addiction and substance abuse and much more! Did you know? Rally attracts more women and underrepresented founders than traditional accelerators with 45% of participants to date being women and 39% being from diverse backgrounds. So far, 47 enterprises and 65 entrepreneurs have completed the accelerator. And, special thank you to Orange County, Florida Government and City of Orlando - Government for their support that allows Rally to serve more social entrepreneurs than ever. Rally: The Social Enterprise Accelerator is an initiative housed at the Central Florida Foundation in collaboration with Entrepreneurs in Action, Rollins College, City of Orlando, Clean the World and Downtown Credo. is to create positive social change by propelling qualified social entrepreneurs to build their ideas into self-sustainable ventures within our community. 100 Women Strong & Circle of Security Project
Central Florida Foundation’s 100 Women Strong giving circle issued a $45,000 grant to the Early Learning Coalition of Orange County, which is partnering with the University of Central Florida on a pilot program to address the social and emotional needs of children at two Pine Hills child care centers.
