Disney Dreamers Academy is one of the biggest events at Disney World and for the second year in a row, I’ve been blessed to support as one of the Show Directors for this amazing event. One thing about DDA, it’s big and a living organism with ambitious goals to bring the most amazing experience for 100 Disney Dreamers. Anything can happen. So…here’s a fun story leading up to this experience:☺️ I was brought on the project two weeks from launch and there was one very interesting scenario in play. We have a marching band performing in the DDA parade, but the rest of the parade route had no music 😳. I tried every strategy to place this band in different ways, but a facade track was seriously still needed. I headed back to my office with my PA just brainstorming a solution. I had to come up with something and hiring a composer wasn’t an option anymore with the timeline. I just sat down, pulled up my Music Software and tapped into my Berklee Music brain. I literally made a track in 15 minutes. Told the team I have a track, played it for the team on zoom, they loved it, sent the stems to the Music Producer and Engineer that afternoon. It was literally mixed and mastered that night and sent to show control at Magic Kingdom later that same night. That following week it was successfully utilized in the parade and seeing Halley Bailey and the Disney Characters enjoying the music was such an incredible moment for me. ❤️😊 I encourage everyone, don’t give up. Everything you learn in life is never a waste of time. Be equipped. Always be prepared. You just never know when your journey will require you to tap into a gift you haven’t used in a while. #grateful🌟🙏🏾😎#be100 #disneydreamers
