I’ve had a busy month. Been working on my book 2 in the mystery series and I’m pleased with the progress.
And now…..I leave one week from today for my grandson’s wedding in England.

I’ve been working with a tech company to straighten out my new website and blog. I’m very pleased. Fresher looking homepage, they were able to get my original domain back, email situation corrected and other improvements.

I’ve been working all day to design a different and hopefully more user friendly site.

Hooray for me! I DID it! With a lot of confusion, anger and sheer determination, I managed to design my website and blog! I’m now as calm as the water in the photo 😂

My home page is finished, along with the About page. I still have some tweaking and housekeeping to do, but it’s at a point where I could publish it and put it live.

Yes…..I’m on hold designing my new website. It’s been a nightmare 3 days. Technology has changed SO much since I last designed my websites.

Good morning……. I was greeted with more growth. Happy me! 😆🥰

Has anyone else done hydroponic gardening? I love fresh produce so I decided to give it a try last week. And I’m so glad I did!

I got the system all set up last Thursday. Photo on left is Monday, day 4. Tomatoes and cucumbers beginning to sprout! Lettuce? Nothing yet.
Photo on right is this morning, day 6. Tomatoes and cucumbers really coming along! Lazy lettuce? Not so much 🤷‍♀️

Please share any info, your experience with this type of gardening, etc.

Here’s the latest…….Final Symphony is just about finished with the publisher 👏👏 And it should be released within the week. Almost a wrap 😃

On to Book 2 in my Luella Barnes mystery series…..Just like any project, if there’s a fair amount of time between books, a refresher is needed. So I spent the weekend reading my book and reacquainting myself with the characters who would return for book 2……Yes, Naomi and Aunt Jo are definitely back. Also, Elliott, Luella’s next door neighbor. Duncan, her Scottie and Ernie, the cat. Gloria, who owns the Witches’ Bean and Fiona, owner of the bookstore.
Obviously, anyone connected to Martha’s murder won’t be back. However, we have a whole cast of interesting characters coming on board that factors into another murder.

So I jotted down a ton of notes concerning updates, changes and my new plot. And lo and behold, I spent today ACTUALLY beginning chapter 1 on the computer! I’m so excited! This is going to be a fun story to write.

I hope you’re as excited as I am 😂 And I’ll keep you in the loop. Thank you to all of you for sticking with me these past 2 years. I deeply appreciate it 💞

The editing for Final Symphony is complete. All the corrections have been done in the file. And the manuscript has now been sent to the publisher. I have a project manager and our novel should be available in about a month. In the meantime, I’ll tease you with the synopsis.

Dr. Mark Puccini and Maddie Chapelle continue their work with the President of the United States and other government agencies to unravel more information about the Visitors and Project 1947.
When Mark’s work for the President takes him to Iowa and New Mexico to investigate an archeological site, it provides more answers about the Visitor’s ultimate goals on Earth and deepens the negotiation crisis.
Maddie’s position with Whitmore Pharmaceutical allows her to provide intelligence to the National Security Council. She eventually discovers that her boss, Rodney Barr, has a sinister plan for Whitmore Pharmaceutical. A plan that could have a major impact around the world.
Join Mark and Maddie as they attempt to assist the President in bringing an agreeable solution for both the Visitors and the United Nations.

Woo hoo! I’ve been hard at work doing the corrections in the file. Only have 96 more pages to go though. Tomorrow’s another day. Now I’m enjoying a much deserved afternoon coffee 😊👌

The edit has been completed (with the assistance of Monet 😃)
And this morning I began making the corrections in the computer……got 100 pages finished 😀👏
So just over 200 pages left and then off to the publisher. Stay tuned 😊

Yes! These are actually manuscript pages! However, they’re not for my book 2 in my mystery series. Not yet.

Here’s the update……I’ve been very busy planning to attend my grandson’s wedding in England late June. Flights are confirmed, along with the hotels and we leave June 24.

So now, finally, I’m able to focus again on my writing. However, before I could begin my own novel, I would feel guilty if I didn’t finish the editing of Final Symphony, (The third book in the trilogy I wrote with my co-author, Bill Bonner) which we began editing almost 2 years ago. Before life threw me some serious curves!

So this morning we spent 3 hours continuing on the editing and I’m happy to share that we only have about 150 pages left. This is our final edit and then we’ll work on the publication process.

In case you haven’t read the first two novels, they are on Amazon. Book 1 is Immoral Symphony and book 2 is Secret Symphony. We write under the pen name of Bonner DuLong and the genre is suspense/romance.

So for our fans of Mark and Maddie……they will be returning soon for their final story.

This was the scarf I finished last fall to take to Paris as a gift for my friend, Nicole. The name of the yarn was Forget Me Not, which I thought was appropriate.
