Brought up this client's highlights just in time for family photos! She usually goes for warmer tones but wanted to try something cooler. We kept it warm just by a touch in case she wouldn't like the cool icy tones. We ended up with a beautiful sandy blonde!

Hard water anyone?

This client in particular struggles with brassiness due to hard water. She has tried using a filter but it has not worked so she was ready to go darker to help minimize the look of the yellow blonde. We did some lowlights, a root smudge, and tone. She also took home the Redken highbright treatment and cleansing cream. Both are good treatment options for hard water minerals!

This was her first time doing any color to her hair, so we opted for a partial balayage. Partial color services are great for clients who want to try something new but are hesitant on getting the full color service. Balayages are also a good first time service as they are low maintenance and provide a softer regrowth.

Goodbye harsh regrowth, hello lived in dimension 🖤

This client messaged me wanting something more low maintenance to blend out her growth. She had an all over blonde that was toned down 6 months prior. You can see the filler formula that was still left in her hair. She also had a lot of breakage in her hair, especially on the right side. We eventually decided to do lowlights, a melt, tone, and a big chop with layers to give her something fresh!

Truthfully, though, I do absolutely love my job! I couldn't ever imagine doing something else. I've always loved hair as a little girl and eventually grew away from it to work towards a career that was "more serious." My crisis started halfway through my senior year in high school. I decided to just go with the flow and ended back with what I love most. It just shows that things happen for a reason, and I couldn't be more grateful!

"I want to be blonde too." Well, let me tell you. You might need more than one appointment!

Everyone has different hair types and natural colors. Those with a darker natural color will typically need more appointments to lift those strong red and orange undertones out of the hair. Although, some do get lucky! But realistically, if you fall into this category, don't expect to be blonde after your first appointment!

Brought the milk chocolate up into the dark chocolate 🤎

This client had actually box dyed her hair multiple times on top of blonde highlights. As you might already be able to tell, we couldn't lift her hair much higher than the level her ends were at in the before picture. Her strand test was pretty strong so we did the color service along with a 5 inch chop! You can tell her hair really needed it! ✨️

If you are wanting to be blonde, do not use box dye or permanent color. It is so much more damaging to get to your desired level of lightness. Words of wisdom from every stylist ever!

A highlight retouch for this ray of sunshine! Babylights and a root melt are great for a lower maintenance blonde. It keeps the outgrowth from looking too harsh until you are able to get in for your next appointment.

We are both so much happier this time around. Our first appointment results were spotty and uneven, so we approached this color service differently this time around for no charge. It was my first time getting such results, so I was unhappy with my work as well. We always appreciate honesty from our clients and their trust they have in us to fix our mistakes! The blend this time was amazing and we fell in love with the results!
