Hey podcast listeners! Come celebrate The Coach Amy and Coach Liz Show's one-year milestone with a FREE run, walk, or sit-and-talk tomorrow. Meet at Meadowbrook Park in the main parking lot at Nall Ave and Somerset Dr. at 6:45 AM. The event starts at 7 AM and the raffle drawing is at 9:15AM. If you plan to run or walk, the out and back course will be set up for 10 miles with aid stations every 2 miles. If you're not an RRKC member, please RSVP. Maps are provided or you can download the course to your Garmin from roadrunnerskc.com/events.

It is an excellent question because there are some staggering statistics: 78% of patients have cardiac issues and 60% inflammation of the heart following COVID-19 infection. When weather conditions or other factors make it unsafe to run outside, it's best to modify your training plan and run indoors, incorporating a variety of surfaces, such as a treadmill, elliptical, or indoor track. Be careful not to overdo it with these alternatives to avoid injury. Get back outside as soon as possible to maintain your adaptation to running on the road.
