We held our first inspired mobility class yesterday with the help of and ! We went over the common patterns we see that us wonderful humans have with being able move around in the world. They learned that they need more left hamstrings in their life to shift their hips and have less compensation through their low back and shoulders. We will be hosting these weekly to help people move and feel better. Let us know if you’d like more information!

🚨Client Shoutout🚨

Lance came to us in April looking to get stronger and explosive in volleyball and basketball. He’s done just that within 4 months working out with us three days a week.

Within this timeframe he’s gained 5 lbs of muscle and dropped 2% body fat! He absolutely crushes every workout and continues to excel with any movement asked of him. We’re truly excited to continue seeing his progress in the gym so he can continue jumping on the courts.

🚨Please welcome our newest intern Trenton Sandler!🚨

Trenton is coming to us as a recent graduate from Blue Valley North High School. What is even more awesome is that he was a previous player of ours during our time at BVN. Trenton is studying Exercise Science and Kinesiology at Louisiana State University while running track as a mid-distance runner! Trenton is here to get more experience in the field and to figure out where he wants to land in the exercise science/sports medicine field. He will be helping us produce more content so be on the look out for some useful tips and tricks the next couple months.

A fun fact about him is that back squat is his favorite lift. Which Coach Kurt also shares the same opinion.

What’s your favorite lift? Comment below and tag a friend for a chance to get one free session.

Mondays can be a little tough to get excited about coming into work. But waking up to a text like this can really get the passion ignited again! It’s a great reminder of why we do what we do. Life sucks living in pain. We’re happy to be in a position to be able to help decrease pain and help people move better and be able to perform at their jobs.

We love tough workouts. We put our clients (and ourselves) through tough workouts all the time.

But sometimes your body needs some soft tissue work to help it operate optimally. We use up to date techniques to help free up some sticky muscles and joints that may be holding you back from becoming your best self.

You don’t have to google best ways to recover. Just book an appointment with us. We’ll take care of you.

Treating and training soccer players is our passion. If you have a nagging ache or pain, don’t wait until you are sidelined. We have specific manual therapy and corrective strategies to help you optimize your performance.

Allow us to take care of your treatment and training plan so you don’t have to take weeks off of practice and games.

Happy National Athletic Training Month to all of my fellow athletic trainers out there!

Only a small amount of the general population knows what athletic trainers are. An even smaller amount of people know what athletic trainers are trained to do outside of throwing ice on an injury 😢 or taping an ankle.

Athletic trainers are trained in injury evaluation, injury prevention tactics, and rehabilitation of injuries. Athletic trainers are also healthcare professionals trained in how to respond to traumatic injury events and how to assess emergency medical situations with their athletes.

We are so proud to be amongst some of the most versatile healthcare professionals out there, and we are happy to be in a position to share what we do in a private practice setting. Working with an athletic trainer in a private practice setting is so valuable because we can rehab some of the most common injuries in-house, and train you like the athlete you were meant to be. Throughout the month we will be showcasing what we do here. Reach out to us if you want to take your health and fitness to a whole different level.

Jason came to us in January to get back into shape and get stronger. He has done just that!!

Since May he has gained 4.4 lbs of muscle and dropped 7% body fat. With an overall loss of 13.5 lbs in total body weight so far this year.🤯🤯

Happy Friday all! We have a client here with a post-Jones fracture on the left side. After some work on her lower leg we decided to give a helical tape job a try to assist with foot pronation and driving through her big toe. After some soft tissue work and the job she found she immediately had better stability during a single leg RDL exercise. We’re giving that brain a whole lot of new input in the lower leg to help facilitate a better movement pattern to decrease her symptoms. Neat stuff.

Over the past few weeks we’ve been asked if we only train youth athletes. We’d like to showcase one of our longtime clients absolutely obliterating her personal best of being able to rep out 155lb. Today she’s taking 165 for 8 reps like a walk in the park and could go for more. We love being able to effectively train youth athletes, as young as 14 years old at the moment, to some of our clients getting close to 80 years young. We are grateful to work with clients like this who continue to take their health seriously and want to improve each workout. Let us know if you’d like to meet and learn how to continue to better yourself in health, fitness, and wellness.

This is for days that are just a pain in the neck y’know? Tweak taping to assist the slide and glide of muscle under sticky fascia. Assisted posture correction to remind my client here not to roll his right shoulder forward causing some symptoms in his neck/upper trap area.

Just rest doesn’t fix a problem. The right dose of movement at the right time does though.

Say it with me now…

We have an athlete here demonstrating a version of the Copenhagen Plank. Major hip and core stability exercise here. She is another soccer player we have working with us and this exercise works adductors and obliques (slightly important in the sport). What is awesome is this athlete noted that we attempted this exercise a couple months ago and was unsuccessful. Now she’s able to do it with a smile for the Gram. Give this exercise a shot and attempt a smile. 30 seconds up to 1 minute here for a few sets.
