Heaven Forbid…What steps do you need to take if your passport is stolen while you are vacationing out of the country?

1. Report the theft immediately to the local police or relevant authorities in the foreign destination. Obtain a copy of the police report as it may be required for passport replacement.

2. Contact your embassy or consulate of your home country. They will assist you in getting a replacement passport and provide guidance on the next steps.

3. If you have travel insurance with an all-inclusive plan and your passport is stolen in a foreign destination, the process may be somewhat simplified.
Contact your insurance provider immediately about the theft of your passport. They may be able to help guide you on the coverage available under your policy and assist you in the passport replacement process.

3. Contact the airline and make them aware, in case a replacement passport is not available in time.
