Have you ever wondered what it's like to fight a fire? Through the magic of technology, you can see our team in action as they entered a home and quickly extinguished a kitchen fire last weekend. This video was taken from a helmet-cam, a camera attached to the helmet of one of our firefighters. Although there was damage to the kitchen, the residents escaped safely and no injuries were reported. Be the best part of someone’s bad day. It's Fireworks Safety Friday! With the Fourth of July this weekend, we hope you have a blast - but please leave the fireworks to the professionals! Fireworks are dangerous and cause about 20,000 fires every year in the U.S., as well as numerous deaths and injuries, and millions of dollars in property damage. Even sparklers, which are commonly thought of as safe, can cause burns and other injuries, especially to small children. Let's not meet by accident this holiday weekend! #crvfc #station50 #baltimorecounty #volunteerfirefighter #emt #paramedic #chestnutridge #volunteers #experienceofalifetime
