Hey friends!

I wanted to go over a few questions that our new racers or our Northern friends might have when joining our race this year!

First, this is a two day race. Be prepared to race in your classes both Saturday and Sunday. If you race Saturday, you can scratch on Sunday, but you will have a DNF for results. If you scratch on Saturday, unfortunately you cannot start on Sunday. Start times on Saturday for each class will be seeded in randomly, and then Sunday start times will be seeded in based on Saturday finish times. Overall results are based on the total of your times for both days.

The facility we have partnered with is used for a twice yearly canine obstacle run. They are also a state of the art boarding facility/pet resort. On the registration page I have noted that if anyone would like to board their dogs, OneWorld has offered kennels for 50% off. For those who haven't run in the obstacle run, that means you can run your dogs during the day, but if you would like them to stay in a heated facility with outdoor run access overnight, you have that option. We will also have port-o-potties on site, and we should have hot showers available!

The trail: our 6DR, 4DR, 2DS, 2DB, and Canicross teams will run the 2.5 mile course. The 1DS, 1DB, Junior Wheeled & Canicross, and Fun Runs will be held on the 1.5 mile course.
Please come prepared to run on a variety of surfaces! I highly recommend that you train on surfaces that will toughen your dog's paws before this race. There are gravel sections that will be raked as much as possible beforehand, and a few paved road (no traffic) crossings. These spaces will be fenced well, and relatively short in distance.
