Cozy corners 🥰 The weather is getting cooler and with that window open it a perfect napping spot👌🏻 …baaahahaha 🤣 I’ve never actually napped there in real life, but I daydream about it often!

Motherhood has consumed me this last week…and the foreseeable future. It’s hard to acknowledge that your hobbies and the things that make you feel like YOU have to come second, or third, or fourth.

I’m learning to give myself grace. I’m a creative person and DIY projects is what makes me ME. I may not be able to dedicate my time to decor and DIY projects right now, but that doesn’t make it less apart of who I am. ❤️

I’ll be adding projects and before/afters here and there…some stuff. But for right now, I gotta go play in the mud ✌🏻

Reminiscing over here…I feel like starting this post off with ✨Once Upon a Time✨ …I suppose it just feels like it’s been a while since I’ve created anything.
So what have I been doing?? Well, I’ve been plotting 😈, working behind the scenes on a new website, blogging, and a few other awesome things! I’m not sure when it will be done but I can’t wait show you all!

My favorite feature is that it’s simple and not invasive to the wall…I normally go big or go home when it comes to my decor…but this feels right too. 🤷‍♀️

Today we explored! …navigating this new town, new state, and completely new way of life has been a struggle, but tonight I was reflecting on just how hopeful I feel after a day like today!
God continues to give me little nuggets of hope and encouragement, and I am running with it!
Moving across the country, saying goodbye to everything I’ve ever know….I didn’t give the process the respect it deserved. I’m just now, 5 weeks into our new home, able to breathe and take it all in.
Should I post more about North Carolina? Or keep the chit chat to home decor? Don’t want to annoy you with my life struggles 🤣

So it’s not how I would have done it if we owned the space…but it cost me nothing to revamp the space and make it more enjoyable to look at.
What would I have done if we owned the space? Glad you asked…I would have done something with custom built-in cabinets, massive amounts of storage, and a bold paint color with wall paper for an extra pop!
Buuuut…when you’re renting, sometimes you have to bury those feelings of wanting to spend thousands of dollars deep deep down, and trust that one day you’ll be able to go big in your own home.
Does anyone else feel my struggle?

PLOT TWIST! …I found an Option #3 and it’s perfect! I am SUPER appreciative of all the feedback I got from my post, I almost feel guilty not going with Option #2 …but that’s what my poor husband has to deal with constantly, soooooo 🤣🤣🤣

HELP! I can’t decide how to style this IKEA shelf! Which one do you think looks best…Option #1 or #2 ??
The hyper focus is so real right now…I originally put this here to optimize our storage space, and now I can’t seem to decide which is more practical??

Day 2 of unpacking and the hyper-focus is STRONG! So far this is the only space pulled together and unboxed completely…and it’s giving me LIFE!
I’ve always wanted cabinets like this just so I can decorate the tops 😊 …my cousin had something like this in her old home and they always looked so dang cute!
I can’t wait for the whole house to come together, but for now this makes me smile! 😍

I think the most fun was trying out the spray painted countertops! It was a first for me and really really cool of my client to trust in me so much to use their kitchen as the trial run!

My client just wanted to be able to tuck in all chairs around the table….I think we succeeded 👏🏻

Yesterday I shared the heart breaking news that my plant babies won’t get to come with us to North Carolina. 😢
I love my plants and in many ways they have been a reflection of my mental health. I can see when I’m “slipping” by how I’m treating them. If it’s been a day or two too long since I’ve watered them, there’s a good chance that it’s been a day or two since I’ve felt like I haven’t been watered myself.
If you don’t have a house plant, I strongly urge you to give it a try. Start with a simple Pothos plant, you can get one from Home Depot for $10…water it once a week and take the time to learn about it. I personally learned so much from the account …Mandy has taught me how to properly care for so many plants and she gives me the confidence to grow my collection. I know you’ll love her too!

I refinished my Grandmother’s table. I’m honored to have been entrusted with the project, but I definitely cried the entire time I worked on it.

These SoCal babies are moving! 🤗 God’s called us on an adventure and we are so excited to finally tell everyone!
Phil’s job is expanding on the East Coast and we’ve always been excited by the idea of living outside of California, but never wanted the reason for moving to be the culture (i.e. the traffic, the crowds, the cost, etc.) It’s a HUGE leap of faith, considering we are incredibly happy and thriving here in California. We’re excited to conquer new adventures and CREATE a life for ourselves.
We picked our team and these Duke fans will be leaving for North Carolina in June. 💙
That being said, I have no idea how I’m going to move this big family across the country…if you have any resources or advice, please drop them in the comments 🙏🏻

did an AMAZING job updating this very 50s bathroom. They fixed the piping that was OG to the house and installed a vanity with functioning cabinets and drawers! We’re living in luxury now! 🤣

Just appreciating the small spaces in my home.
The shelves back there are actually benches from my brothers wedding! We hosted his wedding hear a year ago on May 1st 🥰 …there was a lot of love put into that wedding and I was overjoyed to keep two benches we made as their pews for the ceremony and incorporate them in our home.

I have a few new people here, so I thought I'd introduce myself. 👋🏻 Hi, I'm Jordan.
I'm a wife, a mama to 3 and 1 furry toddler, and child of God. Motherhood has been an adjustment for me on so many levels, but it's taught me that life is too short to not do what makes you happy...so here I am. I've been designing spaces and flipping furniture for the better half of 15 years. I learned how to use power tools from the time I was in elementary school by my dad, who spent his life working in construction. Even to this day I'm leaning on him for advice.
Creating functional spaces is in my DNA. I can't stop it no matter what room I walk into. I'm grateful for each client thus far who has allowed me into their home and trusted me to create something beautiful and a space they can be proud of.
