Today is day one of the Logan Summerfest, at the Cache County Fairgrounds.
Our booth is always a work in progress, but we usually have it all set up by the end of the show. š
The Summerfest is one of our best events of the year. The location, coordinators, volunteers and community make it so.

And away we goā¦ today is setup for the Logan Summerfest, which starts tomorrow and goes thru Saturday.
Such an amazing show. The producers, volunteers and community pull out all the stops to make this on of THE best events of the year.
LOTS of work, Energy and focus to make this happen, but everybody together brings about glorious goodness.

Today, dad and I started our setup for the California Strawberry Festival tomorrow and Sunday... This is the second year at the new location, the Ventura County Fairgrounds.
Within eyeshot, our friends Harmony Tie-Dyes are so close I could almost lean out the book and HUG those wonderful Beings... I just might do this tomorrow... ohboy ohboy ohBOY!

Start of the Tucson Fourth Avenue Street Fair, and already the weather is looking make for a wonderful weekend.
The promoters, volunteers and community go all out to make this one of the best events of the year.

Dad and I are already in Tempe, Arizona, ready to start setting up tonight! The Tempe Festival of the Arts starts Friday and rolls thru Sunday. Their website will show the enormity and beauty of this event. https://tempefestivalofthearts.com/
It's a MASSIVE show. Strictly juried, lots and lots of art, handcrafts... many creations. Live music, food and drink. A weekend of fun for family, friends, date days... The promoter does a phenomenal job in bringing this all together, and the volunteers give their time, bringing their a-game. Not to mention, the COMMUNITY comes out and supports the arts.
If you are around, feel free to stop by and say hi. Our booth numbers are 5246 & 5248. We are on the very end of the 5th Street row.. To find US, you can use the corner of 5th Street and S Ash Avenue a your anchor for directions. If you DO make it by, we'll have a gift of one of our whimsical wire art pieces, made by mom... while supplies last. ;-)

Today is my dadās birthday.
Those of you who have met and know him, know his kind, caring and supportive nature. He leaves a trail of friendly encounters along this Gypsy road we travel, making his copper art and sharing & showing at festivals.
Iām blessed to have such a wonderful dad, someone who is also my best friend. I get to spend most all day, every day with him as we work together and share the same home.

Here at Tempe Festival of the Arts, Sally Jo May dropped on byā¦ what a surprise!!
I spend more time than I should, on social media, but one of the joyful things about that is being able to encounter and connect with such wonderful people.

Setup tonight and early morning, then
Start of the Tempe Festival of the Arts. We display and sell there this weekend, fri-Sun, then we move over to Tucson for the Fourth Avenue Winter Street Fair NEXT weekend.
Dad has been super busy preparing and turning all the dials for these events. Looking forward both TO the shows, but also getting back home to family.

Each piece is handmade by dad, right here in Oxnard, CA. The metal is copper, the spheres are solid glass, and we also use various toy marbles and glass flatties for different designs.

As the year comes to a close, we see a surge in gift purchases, and with us being gone first weeks of December, it makes the last week or so before Christmas a mad rush of production, packing and shipping to get things out for on time delivery.

As always, dad has been at it making making making!
We are loaded, and even as I type from the passenger seat, we are on our way to the Santa Clara Central Park to set up for the Santa Clara Arts & Wine Festival. This has been a long running show for us, showing for several year now. A beautiful park, and our booth is under tall, lovely redwood trees. There are activities for the family and kids, MANY booths displaying/selling arts and crafts, and let's not forget the beer and wine. Fun is had by all.
If you are in the area, stop on by, and if you mention this post, we'll share a special whimsical wire art piece with you as a gift (as long as we still have some!). The event runs this weekend, Saturday and Sunday.

Dad has outdone himself with preparing for this next run of shows... LOTS of work, coordination and plate spinning...
We leave Monday morning and will stay the night in the outskirts of Vegas, making it into Logan, UT, sometime Tuesday.
We'll be displaying/selling first at the Logan Summerfest Arts Faire, which is happening later this week, 6/15-17.
We pack up, leave Logan, and move over to Salt Lake City, where we'll set up and display/sell for the first time at the Utah Arts Festival, which goes 6/23-25.
Logan has proven time and again to be a MAJOR show. High attendance, constant activity... the Utah Arts Festival is new for us, and it took multiple attempts over last few years to gain approval, but we are IN! We've heard nothing but good things, and it could match up to or even surpass Logan, which.... would be amazing.
THEN..... we get to come back to home, sweet home...
