Stingrays 13U Roll Past MN ELITE Harrison/Vicioso 14U

Stingrays 13U easily dispatched MN ELITE Harrison/Vicioso 14U on Thursday, 7-1.

Stingrays 13U added to their early lead in the top of the second inning after Rachel B hit a sacrifice fly, Leah K singled, and Claire S laid down a sacrifice bunt, each scoring one run.

Brooke W earned the win for Stingrays 13U. They allowed two hits and one run (zero earned) over three innings, striking out two and walking one. Payton A pitched two innings of zero-run ball for Stingrays 13U in relief. The righty allowed one hit, striking out five and walking two.

Eliza P went 1-for-2 at the plate as the right-handed hitter led the team with two runs batted in. Carolyn C set the tone at the top of the lineup, leading with two hits in three at bats. Carolyn stole two bases. Stingrays 13U worked the count all day, piling up five walks, and they ran wild on the base paths, accumulating six stolen bases for the game.

Carolyn C’s Big Day Propels Stingrays 13U Past Iowa Gold Prospects 14U

Carolyn C collected three hits in three at bats, as Stingrays 13U defeated Iowa Gold Prospects 14U 8-1 on Thursday. Carolyn doubled in the fourth inning, singled in the first inning, and singled in the third inning.

Stingrays 13U scored seven runs in the fourth inning on the way to victory. Payton A drew a walk, scoring one run, an error scored one run, Sophia L singled, scoring one run, Rachel B laid down a sacrifice bunt, scoring one run, and Carolyn doubled, scoring three runs.

Payton stepped in the circle first for Stingrays 13U. The starting pitcher surrendered one hit and one run (zero earned) over four innings, striking out seven and walking three.

Evelyn C paced Stingrays 13U with two walks. Overall, the team had patience at the plate, accumulating five walks for the game. Aubrey S stole two bases. Stingrays 13U were sure-handed and didn't commit a single error. Carolyn made the most plays with seven.

First-Inning Spurt Lead Stingrays 13U Past Wheaton Wildcats- Cahill 13U

Stingrays 13U scored seven runs in the first inning, which helped them defeat Wheaton Wildcats- Cahill 13U 10-2 on Sunday. Carolyn C tripled, scoring one run, Payton A singled, scoring one run, Aubrey S drew a walk, scoring one run, an error scored two runs, and an error scored two runs.

Stingrays 13U extended their early lead with two runs in the bottom of the third thanks to RBI singles by Leah K and Sophia L.

Eliza P hit a solo home run to center field in the bottom of the fourth for the Stingrays 13U.

Brooke W pitched four innings in relief for Stingrays 13U. The right-handed pitcher allowed three hits and two runs while, striking out four and walking none. Rachel B started the game for Stingrays 13U. They gave up zero hits and zero runs over one inning, striking out three and walking none.

Stingrays 13U piled up eight hits in the game. Carolyn and Eliza were a force together in the lineup, as they each collected two hits for Stingrays 13U while hitting back-to-back. Leah led Stingrays 13U with three runs batted in.

Stingrays 13U defeated Illinois Crush 14U 10-0 on Saturday thanks in part to six runs in the first inning.

Suzana G doubled, scoring one run, Carolyn C doubled, scoring one run, Rachel B singled, scoring one run, Brooke W singled, scoring two runs, and Claire S singled, scoring one run.

A walk by Rachel, and a single by Aubrey S helped Stingrays 13U extend their early lead in the second.

An error extended the Stingrays 13U lead to 10-0 in the bottom of the third inning.

Payton A led things off in the circle for Stingrays 13U. The starting pitcher gave up three hits and zero runs over three innings, striking out four and walking none.

Brooke and Aubrey were a one-two punch in the lineup, as each drove in two runs for Stingrays 13U. Rachel, Suzana, Brooke, Claire, Carolyn, and Aubrey each collected one hit for Stingrays 13U. Leah K led Stingrays 13U with two walks. Overall, the team had a strong eye at the plate, amassing seven walks for the game. Eliza P stole two bases.

Next up for Stingrays 13U is a game at Illinois Crush 14U on Saturday.
