Inky Spirits Art
Welcome to Inky Spirits Art. My art is from the heart, and my hope is that it brings you joy and happiness.
Where have I been? Apparently, under a rock. I have never heard of paper beads until today. They come in all shapes and sizes, but I like these smaller ones for bracelets. These are some quick ones I made with a bamboo stick. I picked out some craft paper from my stash and gave them a go. I love them. I learned how to do it from an old YouTube video. I only had to order a couple of supplies, and I'll soon be making some bracelets. I am so excited. Yet another rabbit hole I'm happy to fall into.
Gift tag making continues. Yesterday, I used the Vintage Christmas stamp set. Today, it is Silly Santa's stamps. Thank goodness for the die cuts from to go with these stamps.
. It was so much fun to make these. Both these stamp sets are amazing.
Fun tags for the holidays! and Penguin Pals card kit. So many techniques and crafts are used. I had so much fun making these. Their so freaking adorable! 🐧 🎄
While the penguins are the star of the Penguin Pals card kit, let's not forget about the adorable trees. This card kit is from and . I used their festive foils for the tree and decorations. Sentiment is from Graceful Holiday Greetings in antique gold. Background is using and green ink. Splash of shimmer spray from .
These Christmas gift tags came out so cute! This is a great kit from Gina K Designs. Which one is your favorite? 🐧
How adorable are this pengins?? They are perfect size for card and tags. Here is one of each. I have a few more pengins made up and ready to place on a tag or card.
Join me and Spark of Vintage at the Christmas Under the Oaks this Sunday. This is our third year, and we have lots of Christmas decor, homemade greeting cards, stocking stuffers, art pictures, jewelery, coasters, and so much more. Come by and say hi. We'll be at both 85 & 86.
Hope to see you there!
Poinsettias don't always have to be red, right? Went with something different using the 'Layered Poinsettia' die set from Spellbinders Paper Arts. I used the Mica Sprays background I made yesterday. Really love how these turned out.
Playing with the Christmas Kitties stamps. I just noticed these stamps also come with masks, which is awesome for making a background. Stamped the inside with a simple Christmas greeting stamp.
Christmas cards continue using transfers. Christmas Floral embossing folder for the background. Embellished with a gold mat, seasonal greeting, and red gems. I love it.
Sometimes, simplicity is underrated. These stamps from are so precious and sweet. What else does the card need? Used misc dye inks.
Playing with water color with Distress Inks on the puppy (rusty hinge, barn door, and hickory smoke) and Wink of Stella in gold and silver on the ornament. This stamp is from . These stamps are so precious. I love them. I'm starting to get the shading down, but I have a ways to go to improve.
Making some Christmas cards for an upcoming holiday show. I used gorgeous transfers and misc. sentiment dies from , , and .
Monday is Boss's Day! Show your appreciation.
Learned this card technique from during her glass at Crop & Create Event. Such a fun card, and the flowers are so gorgeous with her stencils. 😍
Started the card making with these fairy transfers from IOD - Iron Orchid Designs. I haven't decided on sentiments yet, so I'll be adding those later. I'm loving them so far.
Received these gorgeous IOD - Iron Orchid Designs from The Painted Heirloom. It is my first time using these transfers. They are so stunning. Absolutely gorgeous. I'll be turning them into cards very soon. This is the Fairy Merry Christmas pack. It has eight 8"x12" sheets. Mostly fairies, but some Christmas trees and wreaths too. All of them are beautiful.
Let the Christmas card making commence. This was made with Swirly Snowflakes mostly. Then the sentiment is from Large Word Christmas. I used Royal Flush Solar Paste for the Let It Snow. Embellished with some gems.
OMG, these Solar Pastes from and are so stunning. I'm going to try a technique that Simon taught during SBC Fest. Stayed tuned....
Wishing my crafting buddy, best friend, and wonderful sister Cindy of a very Happy Birthday!!! Love you bunches.
Last one for the night, but not my last time with this kit. I just love it too much. 'Bee Happy' September card kit. This card was inspired by . I can't decide which card I made tonight is my favorite.
When I saw cards from the September Kit 'Bee Happy' from , I fell in love with this one and had to recreate it. I used gold mat paper from . I embellished with some gold dots. Have I mentioned how much I love this kit?
***Update...SOLD*** SimonSaysStamp.com 'Bee Happy!' September Kit. Loving all the sunflowers and bees. 🐝 🌻
I enjoyed making the pop-up card so much that I had to create a few more. This is the 'You Give Me Butterflies' bundle kit from Gina K Designs. The embossed background is 'Fancy Butterflies' embossing folder from SimonSaysStamp.com. The sentiments are from Pinkfresh Studio. The gold mat is from Sizzix. To pop up the butterfly, I used acetate. I learned this from Gina K. She has a wonderful video on YouTube that walks you through making the card.
Second hand craft store in Seminole, FL. Great little shop called Bottom of the Bin . Spark of Vintage and I had to go check it out. They've been open since January. Not only do they have the shop with everything a crafter would need, but they do social crafting on Sundays (bring your projects in and socialize while making), but they have classes (Watercolor, card making, etc). If you're in the area, check them out.
I got me some paper, stamps, card making kit, and embossing powders.
One stencil and one amazing technique gets you four cards! Beautiful Spectacular Sunflower stencil from and technique I learned from . I used inks. Topped of with sentiments from and some sequins.
Thank you, , for once again showing amazing custom service. This particular die had a defect. There is an opening on the bottom of one of the e's, when it should have been solid, like the other one pictured. It happens. I wrote an email to customer service yesterday, and they replied first thing this morning! They are sending out a new die. Their customer service is top-notch!! That's why I order most of my stuff through them. Thank you, SSS, once again for showing that great customer service is not dead. ❤️🥳
This set arrived today, and I had to make a quick card. This Layering Birthday set is by Cathy Zielske for . The kit comes with stencils, stamps, and dies. I took a gel pen and outlined the letters with gold gel pen. Added some confetti sequins for embellishment.
While I had my embossing folders out, I decided to do one of my favorite techniques, applying ink to the raised portion of the embossing folder. I used embossing folders from SimonSaysStamp.com and Spellbinders Paper Arts. I used Hero Arts pigment ink and Ranger Ink Tim Holtz Distress Inks.
With Ranger Ink Tim Holtz coming out with his new Distress Glazes, I decided to play with the ones I already have. Learned this technique from Jennifer McGuire Ink. Applied embossing ink to the raised side of embossing folders. Used embossing folders from SimonSaysStamp.com and Spellbinders Paper Arts. Apply embossing glass powder and heat. So gorgeous. I love the tone on tone colors.
Just got my new order with the new Mid-Rose, Rose Leaves, and Climbing Roses layering stencils and coordinating dies. Used The Ton Couture Color Ink pads. I'm in love. ❤️ 🌹 💐
