Happy birthday to me. February 18th. Another year around the sun and what a ride 2023 was. I found out I had type 2 diabetes and a fatty liver. My doctor suggested that I start exercising, so I took up tap dancing because it had always been on my bucket list. Just the process of moving my body under the sublime tutelage of Miss Jane gave me a lightness of being that compelled me to make healthier food choices. A year later… I’m almost 50 lbs lighter, my diabetes is in check and my liver is loving the rest it’s been given. Am I a good tap dancer? Not really but I’m working on that and I loved celebrating my “tapiversary” with my new friends.

Am I feeling good about entering my 68th year? Hell yes!
