Congratulations to our intermediate school students, who are graduating today! We look forward to celebrating with our students as they prepare to move on to high school. 🎓🌟
In late April, our top math students participated in the 40th Annual LA County Math Field Day, joining 108 schools and over 430 students in a competition! 🏆
The five PVPUSD teams, consisting of four students each from 4th to 8th grade, took home eight gold medals, three silver medals, and a bronze medal in the categories of Conceptual Understanding, Problem Solving, and Procedural Skills.
Our 4th and 6th grade teams earned top honors of Top Overall Team in LA County for their grade level, with all five teams showing a strong performance by finishing among the top three.

The next PVPUSD Board of Education Meeting is Tuesday, June 4. There will be a closed session at 4:00pm, followed by an open session at 5:30pm.
The meeting will take place at the Malaga Cove Administration Center (375 Via Almar, City of Palos Verdes Estates).

May is Military Appreciation Month! Our community is home to many veterans, active military members, and military families. Thank you for your service! 🙏
In a recent survey conducted of local residents, 82% of respondents said they agree that local voters need to do more to protect the quality of education provided by local public schools.
We take pride in delivering an excellent education, and we're committed to maintaining the highest standards for our students. However, our aging classrooms, labs and school facilities are beginning to impact our ability to uphold the quality of education our community expects.
The PVPUSD Board of Education is considering a local bond measure for the November 2024 election to repair and upgrade aging local schools.

Last week students from PVPUSD participated in the International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF)! Students competed against 1700 projects in many different categories, and the following students received ISEF awards:
Anish Anand: $5000 prize for the 1st Place Qorvo Innovator Award, and $2000 for the 2nd Place NASA Award.
Madison Gambin: Received a Full Tuition 4-Year Scholarship to Alfred University
Aiden Kwon: 2nd Place in the Category of Energy: Sustainable Materials and Design
Henry Huang: 3rd Place in the Category of Technology Enhances the Arts
