This is Sheffer Kilcrease the owner and founder of the Panhandle Hurricanes. It has came to my attention that there is another team repping names and colors such as the Panhandle Hurricanes. I myself AM NOT apart of any organization that looks to be the Panahndle Hurricanes. If you see photos of myself, Brandon Cutchins and our sons WE have NOTHING to do with that particular team. We have asked that our photos not be used to get a productive tryout. I want to thank all of our followers and parents who stayed true to our organization. Brandon Cutchins will be starting a new 9U team aside from the Panhandle Hurricanes name. As for myself the truth always comes out and as it pains me to say I will be stepping away. My love for the game continues and it is bittersweet to let my organization go. Thank you!

If you have not spoken to Sheffer Kilcrease or Brandon Cutchins your kid is not trying out for the hurricanes, just wanna clear the air for anyone that has any questions please contact us directly.

Due to unforeseen circumstances the tryouts for the Panhandle Hurricanes will not be held on the dates previously posted. We will update you when we have more information.

💜⚾️ 8U CHAMPIONS!!! ⚾️💜

The Panhandle Hurricanes 8U won the TBUSA Appreciation Weekend Championship in Mariana, FL. The team went 4-0 hitting not one, not two, but THREE home runs!!! Home run hitters:

💜⚾️ 9U CHAMPIONS!! ⚾️💜

The Panhandle Hurricanes 9U team won the PG championship in LaGrange, GA giving up only 8 runs total for all games. Those 1 day tournaments can be exhausting, especially for a group of 9 year old boys, but they showed up to compete and WIN! Our very own #4 Braxton Fondren earned the MVP for pitching and #44 Elijah Mercer earned overall MVP! The boys got to practice near Coach Gore’s old stomping grounds and receive some invaluable advise from his coach. Coach Kilcrease commented that this weekend was the first where he truly saw the boys form a cohesive unit, where they were playing FOR each other. When a player struck out, his team mates were instantly there to pick him up. When our #2 Hunter Hatcher was nervous about batting in the 1 hole for the first time, his team mates were cheering him on and reminding him that he EARNED that position for a reason. These boys have become a unit and we are so excited to see where they go from here! Thank you LaGrange for opening up your high school, the 5 Star Training Facility, and for the patience the hotel staff extended to the boys… 😜

It was a weekend full of milestone birthdays, exciting news, and growth for this organization! 😈

⚾️💜 7U Tournament! 💜⚾️

Our 7U Panhandle Hurricanes had a great weekend over in Destin, FL at the USSSA Beach Classic tournament! They played 8U teams and gave them a run for their money. For being new to the travel ball world, this team is definitely a force to be reckoned with! There were multiple home runs, triples, double plays, and an *almost* triple play against more experienced teams. It’s so awesome to see kids at this age learn how to overcome adversity and do what it takes to be part of a team. Thank you 8U for letting us borrow Golden Child this weekend!

The MLB Players Alumni Association camp in Lynn Haven is FULL with 150 players registered!! Thank you to everyone who signed up. It’s going to be a great day of baseball!! ⚾️⚾️

We will hold another three day long camp that will end with a tournament in the fall. Like and follow our page to be the first to know when registration opens!!

Let me tell you something! Kids like Hunter “Buck Shot” Hatcher are critical to the success of a baseball team. Hunter plays second base, pitcher, and outfield. He was asked to catch in practice tonight and without hesitation he hopped in the box with one of our fast pitchers!

Versatility in young kids is so important for their development, and having a positive attitude creates winners! GO HURRICANES! 💜⚾️

The Panhandle Hurricanes 8U team came out as champions at the Battle in Bay tournament! What a great way to start the spring season!

⚾️💜WHAT A DAY!!!!💜⚾️

The Panhandle Hurricanes 7U and 8U competed in the Battle in Bay tournament in Panama City and the 9U competed in the Travel Ball USA tournament in Dothan, AL. The Hurricanes came out with 5-1 record for Day 1!!! What a testament to the hard work that these boys put in and to the time that our coaches spend working with them as a team and as individual players! We are so proud of our newest Hurricanes, the 7U team. They crushed it for their first games as a team!! We are also so excited to see our new 8U and 9U players ball out like they have always been with us!
I guess that all there is left to say is… watch out. The Hurricanes are HERE!! 😈

ITS HURRICANE SEASON 😈

💜⚾️ Player Highlight!! ⚾️💜

Today we are highlighting #1 Luke Cavanaugh. Luke joined the Hurricanes 7U team when they were created in the spring of 2023 and moved up with them to 8U. When the new 7U division started Luke joined the team to play with his own age group this spring! He plays catcher and 1B!

Luke is a 2nd grader at Palm Bay Prep Academy. Luke’s family is a big one: Linsey (mom), Stephen (Dad), Noah & Bryce (Brothers), Emilie, Eliana, Lareina (Sisters).

Fun fact: Luke also plays basketball and earned the MVP award!! We love having so many talented multi-sport athletes!

We look forward to seeing Luke be a role model to the newest travel ball athletes with the experience he gained last season!
