It’s the 1st of the month, time to change those air conditioning filters.
A dirty filter, like the one pictured, causes your HVAC system to work harder which leads to many serious issues.

*Higher energy bills
A dirty filter can force your AC unit to work harder to push air out, which can increase your energy bills.

*Poor air quality
Clogged filters can reduce indoor air quality by allowing dust, mold, and other particles into the air.

*Allergies
Dust and other allergens collected in a dirty filter can cause allergies to flare up in your home.

*Low airflow
A dirty filter can limit airflow, which can cause heat to build up and make your AC unit cycle off and on.

*Freezing coils
If your filter is dirty enough, the coils on your evaporator can freeze over, and your system could eventually stop working.

*Overheating
A dirty filter can block airflow to your AC system, causing it to overheat and trip the circuit breaker.

*Uneven cooling
A clogged filter can reduce the amount of air that's cooled, which can lead to uneven cooling.

Changing your filters can eliminate all these problems.

It’s the first of the month, time to change those filters and pour a cup of bleach or vinegar in the line to avoid clogs and backups.
