Every staff member has completed the necessary medical training, equipping them to better understand and assist our campers throughout their journey.

CAMP SUMMIT IS HIRING NURSES AND NURSING STUDENTS!
Summer dates: (STARTING SOON) May 16 - August 19

Camp Summit is a sleep-away camp for children and adults with disabilities (ages 6-99). Camp Summit hires nurses and nursing students each spring, summer, and fall to oversee the health and safety of all campers, staff, and volunteers at camp. New grads are welcome to apply - training will be provided! Nurses live on-site at camp during their employment.

Camp Nurse Responsibilities

- Oversee the health of all campers, staff, and volunteers at camp
- Administer medication for campers
- Perform or assist in routine medical procedures such as respiratory treatments, seizure management, routine care for diabetes, feeding tubes, catheters, urostomies, colostomies, wounds, etc.
- Perform general first aid
- Nursing Students assist nurses with medication administration, medical procedures, and first aid.

Camp Nurse Benefits

- Weekly pay of $1200 (Nursing Students weekly pay $525)
- Air-conditioned/heated room (private or shared with one other nurse)
- Meals prepared for you on workdays
- Free laundry facilities
- Wifi access
- Designated time off during and between sessions
- PTO and Retention/Completion Bonus for those working 4+ weeks

Camp Nurse Qualifications
- Must have current unencumbered Texas or multistate nursing license
- Must be 18 years or older
