First test with these on course today and I am impressed. The Bridgestone e12's are as advertised, straighter. Not sure about longer, as I was hitting into headwinds and crosswinds all day, but I couldn't miss the fairway, even in the windy conditions.

I wish I could report how these perform on shots from the deck, but since the course I played had fairways which were indistinguishable from the rough I'll have to get back to you guys.

Apples to Apples ball comparison: 25 hcp player

Bridgestone B RX (vs) Titleist Pro V1X

Cost: Both brands are $50 dozen

Test: 9 holes for each ball at Minibel par 3 course. Same flag (red) on each hole and same club used off the tees. I also used the Bridgestones at Worthington for 18 holes yesterday.

The Pro V1X has been my preferred ball for two years but the shops around here are sold out. Information leaked from Titleist says the Pro V1 and Pro V1X will have new designs which will be released in January, 2023.

I bought the B RX's as a late season replacement and, so far I'm impressed. The B RX is designed for players with a driver swing speed under 105mph according to the info right on the box. Bridgestone also makes a version with high spin and two versions for swing speeds over 105mph, which is where the Pro V1X lies.

Driver/Fairway Woods: I found the B RX to go further and a little straighter off the tee than the Pro V1X.

Irons and Wedges: Distance and accuracy were about the same for both brands.

Spin: B RX had lower spin with driver and woods, was equal on irons, but seemed slightly lower with wedges. This is most likely due to the stiffer cover.

The B RX rolled out slightly more than the Pro V1X with chipping/pitching. For me this was a plus since I tend to hit those types of shots short.

Putting: The B RX is a little "clickier" than the Pro V1X but this didn't negatively impact my putting. I actually hit a couple impressive putts with the B RX.

Conclusion: I couldn't believe how well the Bridgestones did. With the added distance and accuracy in the long game, it looks like I'll be playing the Bridgestone B RX next season.
