Macguire McDuff off to a great start in the NCAA Championship meet. 200 Medley Relay National Champs!

Florida Shreds NCAA Record in 200 Medley Relay with 1:20.15; Liendo Clocks 18.97 Fly Split Florida hit the wall in 1:20.15, taking 0.40 seconds off the NCAA Record Arizona State set at the beginning of the month at the Pac-12 Championships.

NEW TEAM RECORD ALERT!!!

The last team record alert of the season is massive! The 200 Free Relay team of Quade Harris, Connor Roberts, Xander Guinn and Anthony Ott took 2nd at the WV State meet in a new team record time of 1:29.64! The previous record was held by Josh Lynn, Dominic Collins, Devan Wilson and Seth Wright in 2017 (1:33.34). Congratulations on your new team record!

NEW TEAM RECORD ALERT!!!

Anthony Ott closes out his South career with his second individual team record. Ott placed 2nd in the 100 Butterfly at the WV State Meet. The previous record was held by Jorge Rojo Sato set in 2019 at a time of 52.88. Anthony first broke the record in prelims with a time of 51.84 and later went to finals and broke it once again with a time of 51.30! Congrats Anthony on an extremely successful Parkersburg South career!

NEW TEAM RECORD ALERT!!!

Quade Harris takes 2nd in the 100 Freestyle at the WV State Meet and breaks the previous team record of 47.75 from Macguire McDuff in 2019. Quade first broke the record in prelims with a time of 47.60 and then went on to break it again with a new record time of 47.53! Congrats Quade!

NEW TEAM RECORD ALERT!!!

The girls 200 Medley Relay consisting of Chesney Douglas, Vada Hafer, Jordan Claypoole and Camryn McLain placed 3rd in the State Championship meet! They broke the previous team record that was set last year by Paige Johnson, Vada Hafer, Jordan Claypoole and Chesney Douglas (2:00.04). The new record by Douglas, Hafer, Claypoole and McLain checks in at 1:59.14!! Congratulations ladies!

The previous 200 freestyle record was set earlier this season by Chesney Douglas, Vada Hafer, Camryn McLain and Jordan Claypoole (1:47.64). The record was first eclipsed in Prelims by Claypoole, McLain, Hafer and Johnson with a 1:46.71 and then was later SMASHED in finals with a time of 1:44.16!!! Congratulations ladies on making history!

In finals the boys broke the record set last year at states (1:40.22) which was held by Quade Harris, Andrew Kirk, Anthony Ott and Ryan Richardson. The new team record was obtained by Quade Harris, Maddox Rader, Anthony Ott and Xander Guinn with a time of 1:38.65!

Parkersburg South Swimming completes the most succesful overall Boys & Girls team finishes in school history at the WVSSAC State Championship. Our kids swam lights out and made masive time drops throughtout the entire meet. Multiple school records, individual and relay state championships were obtained! Updates to follow!

In the 100 Butterfly at the OVAC Championship, Jordan Claypoole broke her previous record set at the 2023 OVAC Championship (58.15) with a new record time of 56.98!! The time was also good for a new OVAC Meet Record and Brooke Natatorium Pool Record!
