🌒The Waxing Crescent Moon phase in June runs from June 7 through June 13th. This is the time when a sliver of reflected sunlight forms a crescent on the right side of the moon (in the Northern Hemisphere) which gradually gets larger until the First Quarter Moon phase.

🌙The Waxing Moon phase is known to be a time of rebirth, growth, rebuilding, and intention/goal setting. It is also a phase that encourages you to do things that bring you joy.

AMETHYST

These awesome earrings feature gorgeous 8mm Dakota Stones Amethyst faceted rounds. I have stacked these and pewter Heishi spacers (lead-free) onto stainless steel bars that are attached to sterling silver hammered ear wires to make an elegant pair of earrings that can be worn day or night.

*Length: 1 5/8" from the top of the ear wire.

Amethyst derives its name from the Greek word ametusthos which means ‘not intoxicated’. This stone is linked to serenity, understanding, trust, and grace. Amethyst can relieve stress and balance mood swings. It can also dispel anger, fear, and anxiety, and it helps to relieve insomnia.

☕️🩶I am part of a fundraiser in Creative Expressions Gallery of FB: Cup of Love - Art for a Cause where we are raising funds for Cup, a 10 year old boy with inoperable brain tumors and his family. I made this necklace especially for this and have pledged a portion of the proceeds to Cup.

💎💜I learned about Trapiche Amethyst about a year ago and it is now one of my favorite Amethyst stones to create with. A little info on how this was named and it’s uses:

“Trapiche” is a type of milling wheel used to process cane sugar and trapiche gemstones are named after it because of the similarity in appearance of the spokes of the mill and the pattern of the gemstones’ inclusions. Trapiche Amethyst is said to enhance brain activity, increase concentration, and increase energy. It is also said to improve intuition and to bring peace.
