One year ago, today, Hoof It by the Schizophonics was released. So much goes in lnto putting out a record and this one certainly had its challenges with Covid and pressing plant delay’s but at the end of the day in my opinion, I think it’s the bands best work with nonstop rippers from start to finish. Definitely very proud to of been a part of it & I’m sure Sassy boy would say the same. Happy Birthday Hoof it! Catch the band all across the USA with the Chats starting at the end of the month!

Pig baby records “we always arrive late to the office, but make up for it by leaving early” Sassy Boy

Today marks the 100th Anniversary death of the greatest bad ass Antarctic explorer to ever live Ernest Shackleton. Buried off the peninsula of Antarctica in the remote island of south Georgia. In 2019 I went to Antarctica and brought one of PIg baby’s records down there to take the journey with me. I met a cool guide who was headed to Shackletons grave after our trip, he promised me a picture of our record next to the grave site. Here is that picture. The record was Blind Rage and Violence, which I thought was a fitting record if you know Shackleton’s story. On that trip I got to go below the polar circle which less than 10,000 humans since Antarctica’s discovery have ever been. I know there has been thousands of record labels that have existed but I don’t know too many that have had a record go below the polar circle and also visit Shackleton‘s grave.

I love this band more than I love Apple toffee. They got a great new album coming out this summer test pressing Friday will finally resume . Happy new year to everyone pic by .leatherman
