In case you missed it, I blogged my baby sprinkle from 2.5 yrs ago…(right before the pandemic). We hadn’t picked a name yet.

We were so undecided that we didn’t name her until maybe 3 days after she was born. The hospital kept nudging us and asking us. But now I see her and I can’t imagine her with any other name. Zanaiah 🤍 (pictured inside my super preggo tummy)

My Mother’s Day gift to myself was to edit personal photos. There’s a ton of images I have yet to touch, so I just chose my baby shower from 2 years ago. I edited on Mother’s Day… and finally finished the blog post today. 🤍 So grateful to have been able to have it at RSVP Event Space] BEFORE the pandemic hit with its full force (a month later). Oh how I enjoyed spending time with my sweet family and friends in paradise. I got to visit this cool wedding venue with this spectacular panoramic view 🏝🤍 and watch my girls explore. Time away feels amazing. Can’t wait to come back ✨

I silently launched my print shop about a month ago.

I had intended to open this shop a couple of years ago but as is common… life just got in the way. Business got so busy… but I finally made the time to prioritize getting it started. I usually don’t launch something until it’s been perfected… but I just knew realistically there’s no way I was going to be able to go through thousands of images and narrow it down. I still have tons from Europe and beyond that I hope to introduce by the end of the year. For now, I focused on a few locations that were requested by one of the sweetest past clients 🤍

Their hugs and the tender care that they have for each other warmed my heart. My girls are roughly the same age and have a similar age gap, so I felt right at home making them giggle and smile for the camera. But, I must say... their biggest smiles were for Jalen! ⁠

A big congrats to this NFC Champ now headed to the Super Bowl! This is the first time ever that I know exactly who I'll be rooting for!

Her little face and her lil personality brings me so much joy. Here's another sweet family that I adore! Still trying to catch my breath from a wild end of 2021. Work threw me into a whirlwind and I'm barely starting to focus on sharing all the wonderful photos I've captured. My dear friends are expecting a baby soon! We are so excited! Here are some highlights from their ocean view portraits 🤍 ⁠

Lots of new faces, so allow me to introduce myself.
I’m Erin! I love all things creative and I’m the photographer, mama, wife behind all these squares. I shoot weddings, special events, business /branding, and lifestyle portraits. I thought it would be fun to share my “top 5 strengths” (according to test). Here they are:

1. Achiever 
2. Learner 
3. Individualization 
4. Restorative 
5. Input

When I shared this list with my husband… he was like ah… the things that make you amazing but also frustrating lol. My top one being Achiever is definitely something I already knew about myself but I guess seeing it put into words really hit home. “you have a great deal of stamina and work hard. You take great satisfaction from being busy and productive.” I literally feel so happy when tasks are completed. Except I’m not the type to make physical lists and cross things off. My brain just eternally holds a master to-do list lol… and things gets crossed off mentally. The moment it does… my brain feels so happy. I won’t rest until something is completed… this is when I frustrate my husband lol.

In our first year of marriage, he used to ask me how I could stay up so late working with almost unlimited energy. But then I would get annoyed at him because he couldn’t keep his eyes open for what I thought were simple tasks. (Come to learn that he’s also just one of those people who can fall asleep at the drop of a dime lol). Obviously over time I realized its okay that our strengths look different and it’s helped us understand each other so much more. I’ve learned to take joy and satisfaction in just resting…making time to *gasp* purposely not be productive. It’s so easy to take a personality test and try to piece it together for yourself. But I truly believe we can’t really take our “strengths” at face value. It isn’t until we’ve learned to harness that strength that we can reap the benefits of what it has to offer. Finding that balance… that’s when it became a real strength.

And I’m curious… if you’ve ever taken a strengths test, I’d love to hear what yours are? Did you think it was accurate?
