Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) students present their task analysis and discuss the profound impact that engagement in meaningful activities has on their mental health and wellbeing. The students shared some of their most meaningful activities: making ceviche, playing dominoes, molding clay, painting, and beading.
In Occupational Therapy, task analysis refers to the process of breaking down a specific activity or task into its constituent parts. This technique helps occupational therapy practitioners understand the components and demands of a task, identify potential difficulties or barriers a client may face, and develop targeted interventions to improve the client’s ability to perform the task independently. Task analysis is a fundamental tool in mental health Occupational Therapy that helps therapists understand, evaluate, and intervene effectively to improve the functional outcomes and overall well-being of individuals with mental health challenges.

🇺🇸 Celebrating 🇺🇸
On June 14, 1777, the Continental Congress approved the design of a national flag.
Since 1916, when President Woodrow Wilson issued a presidential proclamation establishing a national Flag Day on June 14, Americans have commemorated the adoption of the Stars and Stripes in many ways–displaying the flag in the front of their homes, parades, and other patriotic observances.
Prior to 1916, many localities and a few states had been celebrating the day for years. Congressional legislation designating that date as the national Flag Day was signed into law by President Harry Truman in 1949; the legislation also called upon the president to issue a Flag Day proclamation every year.

Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) students visited Bit-By-Bit Medical Therapeutic Riding Center to learn about hippotherapy and the use of purposeful manipulation of equine movement to engage sensory, neuromotor and cognitive systems to achieve optimal health outcomes. In addition, students learn that in conjunction with the affordances of the equine environment and other treatment strategies, hippotherapy can be part of a client’s integrated plan of care.
For over 13 years, Bit-By-Bit has had an affiliation agreement with Keiser University Pembroke Pines to educate and train aspiring occupational therapy practitioners through fieldwork I and II experiences. Big News from Equest Vietnam!
We’re excited to share exclusive pictures of the Equest Vietnam facility, soon to be known as Keiser Vietnam. Our visit at the end of March was a milestone event, with Dr. Arthur Keiser, Chancellor of Keiser University, and Dr. Yan Luo Beitler, Associate Vice-Chancellor of International Affairs, signing a partnership agreement.
Each classroom at Equest Vietnam is named after a Florida location like Tallahassee, Ft. Lauderdale, and Tampa, aligning beautifully with many of our campuses back home. It’s a wonderful touch that brings a sense of familiarity and connection to our wider community.
We’re delighted to announce that Equest Vietnam will soon become one of the esteemed Keiser University International Centers.
